Hi Tigers,

The World Cup is on fire! As we head into the football season, we will also be taking a look at 32 most popular US stocks from different sectors and putting them together in our Tiger Stock World Cup to compete with each other!

Tiger Stock World Cup 

If you invest today, which stock will give you a greater total return for the rest of 2022?

Format: 

32 popular companies are put into 8 groups based on different sectors.

  • Group Stage: Only the top 1 stock from each group advances to the knockout stage
  • Knockout Stage: 8 stocks compete for the Tiger Stock World Cup trophy

Event Period:

  • Group Stage: Now - 5 Dec
  • Knockout Stage: 6 Dec - 20 Dec

Rewards & How to take part 

1. Click the articles in blue below & Vote for your most bullish stocks from each group: All Tigers who chose the MOST POPULAR winner (i.e. the stock with the most votes) will share 5k - 10k Tiger Coins!  

(NOTES: 5k coins for eight group stage winners & 10k coins for knockout stage winner)

2. Write the reason why you choose your stocks, and post it on the TOPIC page >>

1) All Tigers will be given 50 coins at least for posting on the TOPIC page>>! 

2) Tigers will be given extra 50-300 coins randomly according to the quality and users' interaction of their posts. 

3) Tigers with the most high-quality post will be given a US$ 5 stock voucher each! (10 Posts will be rewarded in total) 

4) TWO lucky Tigers whose post gets an Editor's Pick will win an AFF Championship ticket! (Malaysia vs Singapore on 3 Jan, 2023)

5) THREE Tigers whose posts get the most likes will be given a Tiger Trade T-shirt!

    @CaptainTiger Are we supposed to vote 1 or 2 stocks? Previously the rules were to vote for the most popular stock & vote for the stock with highest return for rest of 2022 to win coins. I think NVDA will have the most return based on my research but I know APPL will be the most popular with 🐯to proceed to the next stage so I voted on both but I concluded in my post that NVDA will be the one with highest return.

      Hi, you may vote 2 stocks in each group, but only the most popular one(i.e. stock with the most votes) will advance to the knockout stage. While for the MOST PROFITABLE Stock, we will calculate the actual return of all 32 stocks after 31 Dec, and then give the prize to Tigers who voted for the stock with the highest return. Hope this can answer your question! :)

    @CaptainTiger Can you also clarify for (3) 10 Tigers with the most high-quality post will be given a USD 5 voucher-Is it just based on the post quality regardless of the chosen stock or only posts of the winning stock (best performance for rest of 2022) will qualify for the voucher?

    group A looks the strongest. like having Brazil and France in the same group. Nvda could be the surprise performer of the group if there is a strong Santa rally as its one of the beaten down growth name

    b ) PAYPAL - leading online payment company in over 200 countries.. go cashless and ecommerce

    c) GOOGLE /  - simply because of android,  whole google suite software , clouds , search engine etc.. super low.p/e

    d) - johnson and johnson

    e) - amazon because of wide multi sector business , amazon prime , amazon cloud , amazon ecommerce shopping etc...

    f)- definitely PG .... stable bread and butter business with low.pe and good dividend

    g) - occidental.. follow warren buffett [Love] [Love] [Love]

    h) - LOCKHEED AND BOEING ... SIMPLY BECAUSE LOCKHEED IS LEADER AND TOP SUPPLIER FOR MILITARY AND WAR MACHINES.. BOEING FOR BEING LEADER IN COMMERCIAL AIRPLANE WHICH ORDERS WILL PICK UP POST COVID

    Group E. Drive to MCD on TSLA. After fast food lunch, go shopping at HD and then back to design cloud infra on AMZN at work. Back home, watch some prime videos and online shopping on AMZN.
