Is there really anything stock that is remotely investable this morning (17 Aug) = 2 hours into trading ?

The pre-market indicators for all 3 boards were in the red. Despite having shortlisted 3 stocks ($United Microelectronics(UMC)$, $Himax(HIMX)$and $Amazon.com(AMZN)$) that I would be monitoring today - 2 hours into trading, there is really no inclination to put in a bid for any of them. The prices are just not that attractive.

A quick detour to Tiger Apps > Quotes > Stocks > US just confirmed my suspicion. The Heat Map (Refer to attached Image file) is predominantly Red through and through. At a glance, it is not difficult to spot the 4 Green sectors. 

As I am consciously exploring diversify my portfolio, decided to take a look at Biotechnology stocks. Out of 5 suggested stocks that have skyrocketed between 39.83% to 62.74% - I decided to take a peep at Cassava Sciences ($Cassava Sciences Inc(SAVA)$).

At a glance, it is really impressive to have its price increasing by a whooping +43.79% to $29.06. However if you do a quick assessment of SAVA using any of the indicators/indices, quarterly results data/facts available and quickly too; the stunning price increase does not look so appealing.

I have decided to take a look at their Quarterly performance.  Honestly,  it's a tad disappointing for 4 consecutive quarters. Is there a need to probe further, trying to find justification as to why I should take a small stake in SAVA ? 

After a short delibration, think I will pass. Anyway it has rocketed too much today, the subsequent outcome for rest of Wed trading is still relatively unknown.

Back to the drawing board again.... Here we go...
