Since hitting their respective all-time highs between mid-November and the first week of January, the iconic Dow Jones Industrial Average, benchmark S&P 500, and growth-focused Nasdaq Composite, plunged by as much as 19%, 24%, and 34%. The greater than 20% declines in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq firmly placed both indexes in a bear market.

To not beat around the bush, bear markets can be scary. The velocity and unpredictability of downside moves can truly test the resolve of investors. But if history has a say, bear markets are also the perfect time to put your money to work. That's because every major stock market decline throughout history has, eventually, been erased by a bull market.

With the Nasdaq Composite getting hit harder than the other indexes, it looks like the ideal time to invest in growth stocks with unmatched innovative capacity and sustainable competitive advantages. What follows are five unsurpassable growth stocks you'll regret not buying on the Nasdaq bear market dip.

Meta Platforms

The first phenomenal growth stock you'll be kicking yourself over if you don't buy it during the Nasdaq bear market dip is social media giant Meta Platforms. Meta is the company formerly known as Facebook.

Although advertising spending has been hit hard in 2022 as historically high inflation and back-to-back quarters of U.S. gross domestic product declines suppress discretionary spending, Meta remains well-positioned to capitalize on disproportionately long periods of economic expansion. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger, are consistently among the most-downloaded apps worldwide. With 3.65 billion people visiting its sites on a monthly basis (that's over half the global adult population), Meta is in prime position to command strong ad-pricing power.

The other reason to like Meta is the company's aggressive investments in the "metaverse" -- i.e., the next iteration of the internet which'll allow connected users the ability to interact with each other and their environments in a 3D virtual world. Though it'll take a few more years before the metaverse is ready to be meaningfully monetized, Meta fixes to be a key on-ramp to this multitrillion-dollar opportunity.

Shares of Meta Platforms are cheaper than they've ever been on a forward-earning basis as a publicly traded company. That makes this social-media maven a screaming buy at the moment.

PubMatic

A second stellar growth stock begging to be bought as the Nasdaq Composite plunges is cloud-based programmatic adtech company PubMatic. Although PubMatic is contending with same advertising spending weakness as Meta, it's on track to grow by a considerably faster rate.

PubMatic is what's known as a sell-side provider (SSPs) in the adtech space. This is a fancy way of saying that it specializes in selling digital display space for publishers. Because there aren't many SSPs for publishers to choose from, and ad dollars have been steadily shifting to digital formats, such as video, mobile, and over-the-top streaming, PubMatic has consistently delivered organic growth of at least twice the industry average.

Perhaps the best aspect of PubMatic is its internally designed cloud infrastructure platform. Rather than relying on a third party for its platform. PubMatic built its infrastructure. While costly in the beginning, handling its own infrastructure should result in substantially higher operating margins than its peers as revenue scales.

If you need one more solid reason to trust in PubMatic, consider this: The company ended June with $183 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and no debt!

Palantir Technologies

The third unsurpassable growth stock worth buying on the Nasdaq bear market dip is artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data-mining company Palantir Technologies. Palantir's valuation used to be its biggest obstacle. But following a greater than 80% retracement in its share price, it's now ripe for the picking.

What makes Palantir such an intriguing investment for long-term growth investors is that there's no other company offering what it does at scale. The company's AI-based Gotham platform helps government agencies with missions and data gathering. Meanwhile, the Foundry platform is focused on helping businesses streamline their operations by making sense of large amounts of data.

For the past couple of years, Gotham has been Palantir's primary growth driver. Being awarded large government contracts that can span four or more years has helped the company grow its sales by 30% or more on a consistent basis. But looking ahead, Foundry is Palantir's golden ticket. Whereas not all governments can utilize Palantir's proprietary software, Foundry's ceiling is much higher. As of June 30, 2022, Palantir had 119 commercial customers, which was up 250% from the prior-year period.

Though recurring profitability could be a few years away, Palantir's superb topline growth and niche industry positioning can send shares significantly higher.

Lovesac

A fourth exceptional growth stock you'll be mad at yourself for not buying on the Nasdaq bear market decline is furniture company Lovesac. Yes, I really said "growth" and "furniture company" in the same sentence.

Whereas most brick-and-mortar furniture companies are slow-growing, stodgy businesses, Lovesac is turning the industry on its head in two key ways.

First off, its furniture is unique. The company's "sactionals" -- a sactional is a modular couch that can be rearranged dozens of ways to fit most living spaces -- account for nearly 88% of net sales and incorporate function, choice, and ecofriendly materials. Sactionals can be upgraded to include surround-sound systems and wireless charging stations, and they have over 200 cover choices. Further, the yarn used in these covers is made entirely from recycled plastic water bottles.

Secondly, Lovesac's omnichannel sales platform has led it to success. Despite having 162 retail locations in 40 states, the company's substantially higher margins are a reflection of its direct-to-consumer emphasis, as well as pop-up showrooms and brand-name partnerships. With less inventory needed in physical retail stores, Lovesac's overhead expenses are considerably lower than its peers.

Alphabet

The fifth and final unsurpassable growth stock you'll regret not buying during the Nasdaq bear market dip is FAANG stock Alphabet. Alphabet is the parent of internet search engine Google, streaming platform YouTube, and autonomous car company Waymo.

The no-brainer reason to pile into Alphabet is the company's absolutely dominant internet search engine, Google. According to data from GlobalStats, Google has accounted for no less than 91% of worldwide internet search share for the trailing 24 months. With an 88-percentage-point lead over its next-closest competitor, it should come as no surprise that Alphabet is able to command exceptional ad-pricing power.

But what Wall Street and investors are most-excited about is what Alphabet is doing with its available cash and operating cash flow. For instance, investments in YouTube have paid off handsomely. Easily one of the best acquisitions in history (Google acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion in 2006), YouTube has become the second most-visited social site in the world. As you can imagine, this has helped tremendously with ad and subscription revenue.

There's also Google Cloud, which has vaulted to the No. 3 spot in cloud-service market share. Cloud infrastructure spending is still in its early innings, which means Google Cloud could become a key driver of operating cash flow for parent company Alphabet by as soon as mid-decade.

Like Meta Platforms, Alphabet has simply never been cheaper as a publicly traded company.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Nasdaq Bear Market: 5 Unsurpassable Growth Stocks You'll Regret Not Buying on the Dip
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNasdaq Bear Market: 5 Unsurpassable Growth Stocks You'll Regret Not Buying on the Dip\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-08-29 23:23 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
This year has served as a kick-in-the-pants reminder that the stock market doesn't rise in a straight line -- even if 2021 gave off the impression that it did. What follows are five unsurpassable growth stocks you'll regret not buying on the Nasdaq bear market dip.Meta PlatformsThe first phenomenal growth stock you'll be kicking yourself over if you don't buy it during the Nasdaq bear market dip is social media giant Meta Platforms. Meta is the company formerly known as Facebook.Although advertising spending has been hit hard in 2022 as historically high inflation and back-to-back quarters of U.S. gross domestic product declines suppress discretionary spending, Meta remains well-positioned to capitalize on disproportionately long periods of economic expansion. The other reason to like Meta is the company's aggressive investments in the \"metaverse\" -- i.e., the next iteration of the internet which'll allow connected users the ability to interact with each other and their environments in a 3D virtual world. Though it'll take a few more years before the metaverse is ready to be meaningfully monetized, Meta fixes to be a key on-ramp to this multitrillion-dollar opportunity.Shares of Meta Platforms are cheaper than they've ever been on a forward-earning basis as a publicly traded company. That makes this social-media maven a screaming buy at the moment.PubMaticA second stellar growth stock begging to be bought as the Nasdaq Composite plunges is cloud-based programmatic adtech company PubMatic. Although PubMatic is contending with same advertising spending weakness as Meta, it's on track to grow by a considerably faster rate.PubMatic is what's known as a sell-side provider (SSPs) in the adtech space. This is a fancy way of saying that it specializes in selling digital display space for publishers. Because there aren't many SSPs for publishers to choose from, and ad dollars have been steadily shifting to digital formats, such as video, mobile, and over-the-top streaming, PubMatic has consistently delivered organic growth of at least twice the industry average.Perhaps the best aspect of PubMatic is its internally designed cloud infrastructure platform. Rather than relying on a third party for its platform. PubMatic built its infrastructure. While costly in the beginning, handling its own infrastructure should result in substantially higher operating margins than its peers as revenue scales. If you need one more solid reason to trust in PubMatic, consider this: The company ended June with $183 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and no debt!Palantir TechnologiesThe third unsurpassable growth stock worth buying on the Nasdaq bear market dip is artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data-mining company Palantir Technologies. Palantir's valuation used to be its biggest obstacle. In fact, this was the worst first half to a new year for the S&P 500 since 1970.

In one respect, bear market declines like we're witnessing in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq can be scary. The velocity of downside moves can be unpredictable and weigh on an investor's resolve. But history also shows that bear market declines are the ideal opportunity for patient investors to pounce. Just two weeks ago, the company announced preliminary second-quarter operating results, noting that it would widely miss its prior revenue and net-loss forecasts. According to the company, inflation and recession fears are driving up interest rates and causing lending institutions to be more cautious. That's obviously not great news, at least in the short term, for a company whose purpose is to vet loans.

However, Upstart's operating model brings a slew of competitive advantages and intriguing growth opportunities to the table that should allow it to maintain a superior growth rate over the next five years, if not well beyond.

For example, Upstart relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to vet loans. Whereas the traditional vetting process can take weeks and be quite costly, approximately three-quarters of all Upstart loans are being fully automated and approved. This saves applicants time, and more importantly saves financial institutions money.

To build on this point, Upstart's AI-driven lending platform has opened the door to a broader swath of the population. Relying on AI instead of traditional vetting metrics has allowed persons with lower credit scores to be approved for loans. But even though Upstart's approvals have lower average credit scores than with the traditional vetting process, delinquency rates have been similar. In other words, Upstart's loan pool is giving financial institutions a larger addressable market without increasing their risk.

What's more, Upstart is pushing into new loan channels that offer more opportunity. Following the company's acquisition of Prodigy Software in 2021, Upstart can now offer AI-based auto loans. The auto-loan origination market is nearly seven times the size of personal loans, which is where it has focused most of its attention until now. With an addressable loan-origination market of $6 trillion, which includes mortgages and small-business lending, Upstart's ceiling appears sky-high.

Lovesac

A second game-changing stock that can confidently be bought during the Nasdaq bear market and can triple your money over the next five years is furniture maker The Lovesac Company.

Normally, the phrase "furniture stock" is used to put someone to sleep. Furniture companies are typically stodgy brick-and-mortar operators that rely on the same small group of wholesalers for their products. What makes Lovesac so interesting is that it's looking to disrupt this stodgy industry in a variety of ways.

It all begins with Lovesac's products. While the company was originally known for selling beanbag-styled chairs known as sacs, nearly 88% of its revenue these days comes from selling its "sactionals." These are modular sectional couches that can be rearranged dozens of ways to fit most living spaces.

Aside from offering functionality, sactionals differentiate themselves based on their available options. Buyers have more than 200 different covers to choose from, which ensures that sactionals can match the color or theme of any living space. And they can be upgraded with wireless charging and/or surround-sound systems.

As one final note, the yarn used in sactional covers is made entirely from recycled plastic water bottles. This makes Lovesac's products incredibly eco-friendly, which is probably why early-born millennials are the company's core customers.

Beyond its products, Lovesac uses its omnichannel sales platform to stand out. For instance, the company was able to shift around half of its sales online during the pandemic. Having a sizable direct-to-consumer presence, as well as leaning on pop-up showrooms and online partnerships, helps lower the company's overhead and boosts its operating margins.

Long story short, this furniture stock offers sustainable revenue and profit growth of 15% to 20% annually.

Deliveries of the Nio ET7 electric sedan began in late March 2022. Image source: Nio.

Nio

A third game-changing stock that can be bought hand over fist during the Nasdaq bear market and triple your money by 2027 is China-based electric-vehicle (EV) manufacturer Nio.

Like virtually all auto stocks, Nio has faced a hurricane of headwinds over the past couple of quarters. The pandemic and Russia -Ukraine war have led to shortages of semiconductors and auto parts in general. To boot, historically high inflation has crimped automakers' margins.

The good news is that Nio looks to be turning the corner despite these headwinds. In June, the company delivered an all-time high 12,961 EVs. Even with reduced output during April and May, the automaker still achieved more than 25,000 deliveries during the second quarter. If supply chain challenges can be resolved relatively quickly, the company shouldn't have any trouble ramping up to 50,000 EV deliveries on a monthly basis within 12 months.

Aside from strong EV demand, Nio's innovation is what's truly impressive. In June, the company unveiled the ES7, a midsize five-seater SUV that'll slide in at a more-affordable price point versus its ES8. It also began deliveries of the ET7 sedan in March, and will begin deliveries of the ET5 sedan in September. With the top battery pack upgrade, both the ET7 and ET5 offer superior range relative to Tesla's flagship sedans.

Another innovation worth noting is Nio's battery-as-a-service (BaaS) subscription model, which was introduced in August 2020. With BaaS, EV buyers receive a discount on the initial purchase price of their vehicle, and can charge, swap, or upgrade their batteries in the future. In return, Nio receives a high-margin monthly subscription fee and keeps early buyers loyal to the brand.

Because China is the largest auto market in the world and its EV industry is still nascent, Nio has an incredible opportunity to gobble up market share and become an industry leader. By 2027, it should be swimming in annual profits.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Nasdaq Bear Market: 3 Game-Changing Stocks That Can Triple Your Money by 2027
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNasdaq Bear Market: 3 Game-Changing Stocks That Can Triple Your Money by 2027\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-07-21 21:08 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
There's little question that this has been one of the most-challenging years on record for Wall Street and investors. Since hitting their all-time closing highs within the past eight months, the timeless Dow Jones Industrial Average, the benchmark S&P 500, and technology-dependent Nasdaq Composite have shed as much as 19%, 24%, and 34% of their value, respectively. In fact, this was the worst first half to a new year for the S&P 500 since 1970.In one respect, bear market declines like we're witnessing in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq can be scary. The velocity of downside moves can be unpredictable and weigh on an investor's resolve. But history also shows that bear market declines are the ideal opportunity for patient investors to pounce. That's because every double-digit percentage decline throughout history (including in the Nasdaq Composite) has eventually been cleared away by a bull market rally.Image source: Getty Images. It's an especially intriguing time to go bargain hunting among innovative growth stocks. While it can be hard to look past the near-term weakness and/or struggles of fast-paced companies during a bear market, there are some true game changers that have the potential to make long-term investors a whole lot richer. What follows are three game-changing stocks you can confidently buy during the Nasdaq bear market that can triple your money by 2027.Upstart HoldingsThe first groundbreaking stock that has all the tools and intangibles necessary to triple your money over the next five years is cloud-based lending platform Upstart Holdings. To some investors, Upstart might look like a stock to avoid at the moment. It has reported strong operational and financial results for several quarters straight, but its shares are down over 60% over the last yearnonetheless. To be fair, the Street chastised the stock over concerns regarding its growth momentum, but things aren't all that bad. In this article, I'll attempt to have a balanced discussion over why Palantir makes for a good buying opportunity on dips, in spite of the floating concerns. Let's take a closer look at it all.

The Growth Trajectory

Let me start by saying that the market isn't entirely wrong by selling off Palantir. Its management had previously assured investors of their growth being at breakneck rates but they later tempered revenue growth forecasts to 30%-plus rates. Fast forward to May 2022, they're now guiding Q2 revenue to grow just 25% year over year due to the challenging macroeconomic environment. They reported flat government revenue on a sequential basis, which fuels speculation that Palantir may have hit its growth saturation point.

Under normal circumstances, 20%-plus growth rates are deemed healthy and not worth chiding a company's management over. But Palantir's lowering of their growth guidance, time and again, seems like its top brass is just moving the goal post without actually delivering on its targets. It casts doubt on the company's long-term growth story and makes one wonder about how many more such downward revisions would be there in its future quarters.

So, I empathize with investors who're questioning Palantir's management, the company's growth prospects and rethinking their investment thesis in the name. However, there are a couple of key takeaways from its Q2 earnings report, that nobody seems to be paying attention.

For starters, the slowdown in its government revenue was expected. There were preliminary signs of its impending government revenue slowdown, about which I warned my readers in an earnings preview article published back in April (Read - Palantir: Brace For Impact). The company reported $241.8 million in government revenue in Q1 which is eerily close to my forecast of $243.4 million. From my prior article:

I expect Palantir's government revenue to grow marginally on a sequential basis this time around. See, Palantir hasn't won any major contracts from the federal government during Q1 -- its new orders have actually shrunk in the said time frame. The company, also, hasn't announced any major order wins that would trump this decline. This suggests that Palantir's government segment will be revenue challenged in Q1.

Having said that, Palantir's commercial segment performed rather well. Its revenue amounted to $204.5 million, which was up 136% year over year and up 5.2% sequentially. Contrary to what the bears may suggest, I believe this segment will become the leading growth catalyst for Palantir in coming quarters.

BusinessQuant.com

I say this because Palantir has been adding commercial customers at a rapid rate. It added 37 new commercial customers during Q1, which expanded its customer base by as much as 25% within a span of just one quarter. Bear in mind that Palantir's commercial revenue grew at just 5.2% over the said time frame. It's this disparity in revenue and customer growth rates, that offers a growth opportunity for investors.

BusinessQuant.com

We must understand that these new customers won't outrightly replace their existing systems in place. They'd naturally want to test out Palantir's platform in the beginning, explore its functionality, understand its integrations with their prevalent data set and train their personnel along the way. It's only after a few quarters of extensive use, that commercial enterprises would want to ramp spending on the new workflow that Palantir's platforms bring along.

Secondly, as more and more commercial enterprises start to use Palantir's platforms in their workflows and develop trust on the brand, the word of mouth will spread and Palantir is likely to win more customers along the way. In essence, I expect the successful commercial deployments to have a snowball effect for Palantir, at least in terms of customer wins.

Third, unlike the government sector where there's a limited number of agencies, lots of bureaucratic hurdles and geopolitics at play, the commercial sector is fragmented and usually doesn't involve such limitations. This essentially means that Palantir can continue expanding its customer base forward as well, without hitting a saturation point anytime soon. As a reminder, the company had just 184 commercial customers at the end of Q1.

So, overall, I consider Palantir's rapid commercial customer adds to be a leading indicator for an impending commercial revenue growth explosion in coming quarters.

Deflating Stock Compensation

Next, Palantir has been infamous for its high stock-based compensation in prior quarters. Concerned investors, bears and bag holders saw this as management's way to reward themselves for poor performance. However, the company has, once again, made steady progress on this front.

BusinessQuant.com

Palantir's stock-based compensation expenses declined to $149.3 million during Q1, hovering close to its all-time low. Also, note in the chart above that the figure has steadily declined over the past year and a half. But that's not all. Per our database at Business Quant, Palantir's stock compensation expenses are more or less in line with many other rapidly growing software infrastructure stocks.

BusinessQuant.com

As Palantir's shares are down 60% over the past year, employee compensation in the form of stock options will become less lucrative. Its employees will suddenly feel that their pay packages are inadequate. So, to address this issue and to retain key talent, I believe Palantir will significantly cut down on its stock awards and its dilutive effects, and resort to cash-based compensation at least until its shares remain distressed.

So, this is another area where Palantir has shown steady improvement and it's likely to continue doing so in the foreseeable future as well.

Final Thoughts

Palantir's price action has caught many off guard, including yours truly, but the stock seems to be attractively valued after its recent crash. In fact, green shoots in its growth story are starting to show up.The recent crash in Palantir's shares, makes it a buying opportunity.Michael Vi/iStock Editorial via Getty ImagesIt's hard to think of a more controversial stock than Palantir (NYSE:PLTR). Let's take a closer look at it all.The Growth TrajectoryLet me start by saying that the market isn't entirely wrong by selling off Palantir. Its management had previously assured investors of their growth being at breakneck rates but they later tempered revenue growth forecasts to 30%-plus rates. Fast forward to May 2022, they're now guiding Q2 revenue to grow just 25% year over year due to the challenging macroeconomic environment. They reported flat government revenue on a sequential basis, which fuels speculation that Palantir may have hit its growth saturation point.Under normal circumstances, 20%-plus growth rates are deemed healthy and not worth chiding a company's management over. From my prior article:I expect Palantir's government revenue to grow marginally on a sequential basis this time around. See, Palantir hasn't won any major contracts from the federal government during Q1 -- its new orders have actually shrunk in the said time frame. The company, also, hasn't announced any major order wins that would trump this decline. This suggests that Palantir's government segment will be revenue challenged in Q1.Having said that, Palantir's commercial segment performed rather well. Its revenue amounted to $204.5 million, which was up 136% year over year and up 5.2% sequentially. Contrary to what the bears may suggest, I believe this segment will become the leading growth catalyst for Palantir in coming quarters.BusinessQuant.comI say this because Palantir has been adding commercial customers at a rapid rate. It added 37 new commercial customers during Q1, which expanded its customer base by as much as 25% within a span of just one quarter. Bear in mind that Palantir's commercial revenue grew at just 5.2% over the said time frame. It's this disparity in revenue and customer growth rates, that offers a growth opportunity for investors.BusinessQuant.comWe must understand that these new customers won't outrightly replace their existing systems in place. They'd naturally want to test out Palantir's platform in the beginning, explore its functionality, understand its integrations with their prevalent data set and train their personnel along the way. It's only after a few quarters of extensive use, that commercial enterprises would want to ramp spending on the new workflow that Palantir's platforms bring along.Secondly, as more and more commercial enterprises start to use Palantir's platforms in their workflows and develop trust on the brand, the word of mouth will spread and Palantir is likely to win more customers along the way. In essence, I expect the successful commercial deployments to have a snowball effect for Palantir, at least in terms of customer wins.Third, unlike the government sector where there's a limited number of agencies, lots of bureaucratic hurdles and geopolitics at play, the commercial sector is fragmented and usually doesn't involve such limitations. This essentially means that Palantir can continue expanding its customer base forward as well, without hitting a saturation point anytime soon. As a reminder, the company had just 184 commercial customers at the end of Q1.So, overall, I consider Palantir's rapid commercial customer adds to be a leading indicator for an impending commercial revenue growth explosion in coming quarters.Deflating Stock CompensationNext, Palantir has been infamous for its high stock-based compensation in prior quarters. Concerned investors, bears and bag holders saw this as management's way to reward themselves for poor performance. However, the company has, once again, made steady progress on this front.BusinessQuant.comPalantir's stock-based compensation expenses declined to $149.3 million during Q1, hovering close to its all-time low. Also, note in the chart above that the figure has steadily declined over the past year and a half. But that's not all. Per our database at Business Quant, Palantir's stock compensation expenses are more or less in line with many other rapidly growing software infrastructure stocks.BusinessQuant.comAs Palantir's shares are down 60% over the past year, employee compensation in the form of stock options will become less lucrative. Its employees will suddenly feel that their pay packages are inadequate. So, to address this issue and to retain key talent, I believe Palantir will significantly cut down on its stock awards and its dilutive effects, and resort to cash-based compensation at least until its shares remain distressed. So, this is another area where Palantir has shown steady improvement and it's likely to continue doing so in the foreseeable future as well.Final ThoughtsPalantir's price action has caught many off guard, including yours truly, but the stock seems to be attractively valued after its recent crash. It's trading at 10-times its trailing twelve-month sales, which is considerably lower than many of the other rapidly growing software infrastructure stocks.BusinessQuant.comBesides, green shoots are starting to appear in Palantir's growth story, with its declining stock compensation expenses, rapid customer adds and a potential sales acceleration. So, readers and investors may want to accumulate Palantir's shares on price corrections as this panic time makes it a good buying opportunity. But the bullish long-term bias of the market tells us that stocks will almost certainly resume their uptrend. When they do, nearly all tech stocks should bounce to some extent, but the best tech stocks could soar.

Historically, the broader market tends to perform well during the November-to-April timespan. Of course, this is no guarantee for success. Still, it adds a powerful backdrop for those looking to put capital to work in one of the more speculative sectors of the market.

In searching for the best tech stocks to buy, we’re sticking with financial data. Leveraging the analytical tools ofGuruFocus.com, the below equities all feature fundamentally low risk and discounted prices.

Here are the best tech stocks to buy in November.

Nvidia (NVDA)

A multinational technology firm, Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA) primarily garnered attention through its specialty in graphics processing units. However, the company also made significant investments in deep learning and protocols involving artificial intelligence. Currently, the company commands a market capitalization of $345 billion. On a year-to-date basis, NVDA is down 53%.

Despite the steep losses, contrarian investors should consider gradually picking up shares.GuruFocus utilizes proprietary calculations to determine that NVDA stock is significantly undervalued. Based on more traditional metrics, Nvidia features excellent income-statement performance figures. For instance, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate stands at 31.3%. Its book growth rate during the aforementioned period hit 40.2%. Both stats rank at least near the 90th percentile for the industry. On the bottom line, Nvidia carries a net margin of 26%. This ranks above 87% of the competition.

To top it off, NVDA is tethered to a strong balance sheet. Mainly, its Altman Z-Score is a lofty 12 points, reflecting extremely low bankruptcy risk. Thus, NVDA easily ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November.

Adobe (ADBE)

Adobe(NASDAQ:ADBE) is a software company that mainly aligns with creatives. Historically, it’s known for the creation and publication of a wide range of content, including graphics, photography, illustration, animation, multimedia/video, motion pictures and print. Currently, Adobe carries a market cap of $151 billion after slipping 43% year to date.

Again, based onGuruFocus’proprietary metrics, Adobe rates as significantly undervalued. One traditional metric regarding valuation to consider is its price-earnings-growth ratio of 1.09. This rates favorably below the industry median of 1.4 times.

However, Adobe draws the most attention for its income statement-related performance. For example, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate and free cash flow growth rate stand at 21.9% and 23.7%, respectively. Both figures rank conspicuously above sector averages.

On the bottom line, Adobe carries a net margin of 28%, well above the industry median of 1.9%. Throw in a stable balance sheet and you have another solid candidate for best tech stocks to buy in November.

Intel (INTC)

One of the powerhouses in the semiconductor industry, Intel(NASDAQ:INTC) represents the world’s second-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue. Per its corporate profile, it’s also one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets, the instruction sets found in most personal computers. Presently, INTC commands a market cap of $119 billion and is down 44% for the year.

Despite sharp losses, INTC is among the best tech stocks to buy in November. Notably, INTC is significantly undervalued based on traditional metrics. Its forward P/E ratio is 10.1, below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its Shiller P/E ratio is 7.6, below the sector median of nearly 24.

On the income statement, Intel features an overall solid profile. Its three-year book growth rate stands at 12.4%, above 61.5% of the competition. For net margin, it hit 26%, better than 87% of its peers.

Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM)

A multinational semiconductor firm, Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) represents the world’s most valuable semiconductor company, the world’s largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry, and one of Taiwan’s largest companies, per its public profile. Presently, TSM commands a market cap of nearly $322 billion and is down 48% year to date.

Despite the severe erosion of equity value, TSM ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November for contrarians. PerGuruFocus, TSM is significantly undervalued. The company’s forward P/E ratio is 10.9 is below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its price-to-owner earnings ratio is 10.5, below the industry median of 16.1.

Primarily, though, TSM is all about its profitability machine. Gross, operating and net margins hit 55%, 44.7% and 40.6% respectively. Each of these metrics was well above sector median levels. As well, TSM enjoys solid growth figures, with its three-year revenue growth rate coming in at 15.5%. This ranks above 68.5% of the competition.

Applied Materials (AMAT)

Applied Materials(NASDAQ:AMAT) represents the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world, per its website. Currently, Applied Materials features a market cap of $77 billion, and the stock is down 43% year to date.

PerGuruFocus, AMAT stock is significantly undervalued. A notable standout in terms of traditional metrics is its PEG ratio of 0.56. This ranks favorably below the industry median of 0.75.

Primarily, though, Applied Materials will likely draw attention as one of the best tech stocks to buy in November because of its high-quality business. Specifically, the company’s return on equity and return on assets hit 55.5% and 26.1%, respectively. Both stats rank among the upper echelons of the semiconductor industry.

To top it off, AMAT features a stable balance sheet. Most prominently, its Altman Z-Score of 7.5 implies low bankruptcy risk.

Lam Research (LRCX)

Lam Research(NASDAQ:LRCX) is an American supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and related services to the semiconductor industry. Currently, the company carries a market cap of slightly over $55 billion after falling 44% year to date. The stock’s average daily volume is approximately 1.9 million shares.

Fundamentally, the case for LRCX as one of the top tech stocks to buy in November is two-fold. First, Lam represents a high-quality business. Its return on equity is a blistering 75.8%. That’s above 99% of the semiconductor industry. As well, the company’s return on assets hit 28.6%, ranking above 97% of its peers.

Second, Lam enjoys outstanding sales-related performance. For example, its three-year revenue growth rate is 26.6%, better than 84% of the competition. As well, the company’s book growth rate during the same period is 11.9%, better than nearly 60% of its rivals.

NXP Semiconductors (NXPI)

Netherlands-based NXP Semiconductors(NASDAQ:NXPI) is a semiconductor designer and manufacturer. After falling 33% this year, it has a market cap of roughly $40 billion. Average trading volume is around 2.1 million shares a day.

Interestingly, the YTD performance makes NXP one of the better-performing semiconductor firms. However, that’s not the reason why it’s on this list of best tech stocks to buy in November. Fundamentally, the stock is significantly undervalued based on proprietary calculations. But the bullish long-term bias of the market tells us that stocks will almost certainly resume their uptrend. When they do, nearly all tech stocks should bounce to some extent, but the best tech stocks could soar.Historically, the broader market tends to perform well during the November-to-April timespan. Here are the best tech stocks to buy in November.Nvidia (NVDA)A multinational technology firm, Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA) primarily garnered attention through its specialty in graphics processing units. However, the company also made significant investments in deep learning and protocols involving artificial intelligence. Currently, the company commands a market capitalization of $345 billion. On a year-to-date basis, NVDA is down 53%.Despite the steep losses, contrarian investors should consider gradually picking up shares.GuruFocus utilizes proprietary calculations to determine that NVDA stock is significantly undervalued. Thus, NVDA easily ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November.Adobe (ADBE)Adobe(NASDAQ:ADBE) is a software company that mainly aligns with creatives. Historically, it’s known for the creation and publication of a wide range of content, including graphics, photography, illustration, animation, multimedia/video, motion pictures and print. Currently, Adobe carries a market cap of $151 billion after slipping 43% year to date.Again, based onGuruFocus’proprietary metrics, Adobe rates as significantly undervalued. Throw in a stable balance sheet and you have another solid candidate for best tech stocks to buy in November.Intel (INTC)One of the powerhouses in the semiconductor industry, Intel(NASDAQ:INTC) represents the world’s second-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue. Per its corporate profile, it’s also one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets, the instruction sets found in most personal computers. Presently, INTC commands a market cap of $119 billion and is down 44% for the year.Despite sharp losses, INTC is among the best tech stocks to buy in November. Notably, INTC is significantly undervalued based on traditional metrics. Its forward P/E ratio is 10.1, below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its Shiller P/E ratio is 7.6, below the sector median of nearly 24.On the income statement, Intel features an overall solid profile. Its three-year book growth rate stands at 12.4%, above 61.5% of the competition. For net margin, it hit 26%, better than 87% of its peers.Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM)A multinational semiconductor firm, Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) represents the world’s most valuable semiconductor company, the world’s largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry, and one of Taiwan’s largest companies, per its public profile. Presently, TSM commands a market cap of nearly $322 billion and is down 48% year to date.Despite the severe erosion of equity value, TSM ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November for contrarians. PerGuruFocus, TSM is significantly undervalued. The company’s forward P/E ratio is 10.9 is below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its price-to-owner earnings ratio is 10.5, below the industry median of 16.1.Primarily, though, TSM is all about its profitability machine. Gross, operating and net margins hit 55%, 44.7% and 40.6% respectively. Each of these metrics was well above sector median levels. As well, TSM enjoys solid growth figures, with its three-year revenue growth rate coming in at 15.5%. This ranks above 68.5% of the competition.Applied Materials (AMAT)Applied Materials(NASDAQ:AMAT) represents the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world, per its website. Currently, Applied Materials features a market cap of $77 billion, and the stock is down 43% year to date.PerGuruFocus, AMAT stock is significantly undervalued. A notable standout in terms of traditional metrics is its PEG ratio of 0.56. This ranks favorably below the industry median of 0.75.Primarily, though, Applied Materials will likely draw attention as one of the best tech stocks to buy in November because of its high-quality business. Specifically, the company’s return on equity and return on assets hit 55.5% and 26.1%, respectively. Both stats rank among the upper echelons of the semiconductor industry. To top it off, AMAT features a stable balance sheet. Most prominently, its Altman Z-Score of 7.5 implies low bankruptcy risk.Lam Research (LRCX)Lam Research(NASDAQ:LRCX) is an American supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and related services to the semiconductor industry. Currently, the company carries a market cap of slightly over $55 billion after falling 44% year to date. The stock’s average daily volume is approximately 1.9 million shares.Fundamentally, the case for LRCX as one of the top tech stocks to buy in November is two-fold. First, Lam represents a high-quality business. Its return on equity is a blistering 75.8%. That’s above 99% of the semiconductor industry. As well, the company’s return on assets hit 28.6%, ranking above 97% of its peers.Second, Lam enjoys outstanding sales-related performance. For example, its three-year revenue growth rate is 26.6%, better than 84% of the competition. As well, the company’s book growth rate during the same period is 11.9%, better than nearly 60% of its rivals.NXP Semiconductors (NXPI)Netherlands-based NXP Semiconductors(NASDAQ:NXPI) is a semiconductor designer and manufacturer. After falling 33% this year, it has a market cap of roughly $40 billion. Average trading volume is around 2.1 million shares a day.Interestingly, the YTD performance makes NXP one of the better-performing semiconductor firms. However, that’s not the reason why it’s on this list of best tech stocks to buy in November. Fundamentally, the stock is significantly undervalued based on proprietary calculations. And its forward P/E ratio of 10.6 is below the industry median of 13.7 times. The company enjoys substantive profitability margins, including an operating margin of 27%, which ranks above 84% of its peers. It’s also a high-quality business with a return on equity of nearly 36%.About the one glaring risk factor is balance sheet stability. Its Altman Z-Score pings at 2.4, which is in a gray zone. However, the higher-risk profile could lead to potentially greater gains.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":12,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9911274448,"gmtCreate":1664232690684,"gmtModify":1676537412665,"author":{"id":"3567239827558758","authorId":"3567239827558758","name":"tigernaut","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/66e331c670eb88443b88c6bdb76224cf","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567239827558758","authorIdStr":"3567239827558758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9911274448","repostId":"2270505400","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2270505400","pubTimestamp":1664205741,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2270505400?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-09-26 23:22","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Investing in This ETF Right Now Could Make You a Millionaire Retiree","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2270505400","media":"MotleyFool","summary":"The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust is a low-cost index ETF that attempts to track the S&P 500 index, which is often used as a proxy for the overall US stock market. That was also more than double its average return and its fifth-best performance in almost 50 years.

If you ignore the sudden plunge the stock market experienced at the onset of the pandemic, it has been on an incredible tear since the end of the Great Recession in 2009. The broad market index has quadrupled in value over that time period, turning an investment of $10,000 into almost $43,000 today.

That could suggest it's only a matter of time before the market crashes again, meaning if you've got only a little money to spare to invest in the stock market, you want it to go a long way and not get wiped out in any downdraft. So if you've got $100 or less available -- and you don't need it for emergencies or to pay bills -- the following three stocks are a great place to start.

JD.com

I'm the first to admit investing in Chinese stocks these days seems risky. But JD.com (NASDAQ:JD) is certainly a fast-growing, profitable e-commerce giant.

Since going public in 2014, JD.com has returned nearly 250% while the S&P 500 has ridden 150% higher in the same time frame. But there's a good reason for the dichotomy. China is a massive market opportunity with 1.4 billion people who -- like much of the rest of the world -- have increasingly embraced online shopping. The company's third-quarter revenue hit $33.9 billion, up 25% over the year-ago period.

Unlike Amazon.com or rival Alibaba, JD.com is more of a marketplace for third-party sellers like eBay than a seller of goods itself. Its broad selection of items is attracting ever greater numbers of customers to the site; active customers hit 552.2 million last year. That's some 25% more than in 2020.

At $76 a share, JD.com trades for just under six times next year's earnings estimate. Analysts, though, are forecasting that the e-commerce giant will grow earnings 24% annually for the next five years. So it could be a good deal for someone with just $100 to invest.

Lovesac

Sit back and relax with modular furniture maker Lovesac (NASDAQ:LOVE), something of a contrarian stock pick for an investor with only a little money to put to work.

The "sactional" maker is hard at work changing how people shop for furniture as the pandemic forced consumers to switch from being hands on and having a natural revulsion to paying shipping costs to willingly buying online. Because Lovesac already had a robust e-commerce presence prior to the pandemic, along with a physical retail footprint, it was easily able to make the transition while others struggled.

And business is booming. Third-quarter sales jumped 56% to almost $117 million compared to a year ago while the company's gross margin is an impressive 50%. Wall Street sees Lovesac turning into a billion-dollar business by the middle of the decade.

Analysts are maintaining a $106 consensus price target for the shares over the next year. That's an 84% upside over the current $58 per share price. So modular furniture could be the perfect stock for investing couch potatoes with only a few dollars available.

Plug Power

Investors have been waiting a long time for hydrogen fuel-cell technology to reach critical mass, particularly as Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG) has long promised it's just around the next corner. While that corner never seems to materialize, we may finally be on the brink of it occurring.

Recently KeyBanc Capital Markets released its forecast for the industry and -- gadzooks! -- it expects the technology to rocket from $1.1 billion last year to $300 billion by 2030. That's an 86% compound annual growth rate.

Analyst Leo Mariani told investors in a research note that fuel-cell companies will see their business get a turbo-boost from a "rapidly growing market for their services as fuel-cell adoption is poised to accelerate this decade." He initiated coverage of Plug Power with an overweight rating, putting a price target of $40 per share on the fuel-cell pioneer (that's 60% upside from its $25 per share level today).

Plug Power shipped 4,559 GenDrive material fuel-cell products in the third quarter along with 16 hydrogen infrastructure systems, some 23% more for each compared to last year. Still, it continues to post losses, and the global supply-chain issues that are impacting all industries, as well as inflation, continue to pressure Plug's margins.

Plug Power, though, sees a future for hydrogen fuel cells that goes well beyond its primary forklift market. And if Wall Street is even only partly correct about its growth potential, Plug could have a bright future ahead of it that would potentially turn $100 into far more.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Growth Stocks You Can Buy Right Now With Less Than $100
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Growth Stocks You Can Buy Right Now With Less Than $100\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-01-20 08:20 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Last year was a good one for the S&P 500. Wall Street sees Lovesac turning into a billion-dollar business by the middle of the decade.Analysts are maintaining a $106 consensus price target for the shares over the next year. That's an 84% upside over the current $58 per share price. So modular furniture could be the perfect stock for investing couch potatoes with only a few dollars available.Image source: Getty Images.Plug PowerInvestors have been waiting a long time for hydrogen fuel-cell technology to reach critical mass, particularly as Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG) has long promised it's just around the next corner. While that corner never seems to materialize, we may finally be on the brink of it occurring.Recently KeyBanc Capital Markets released its forecast for the industry and -- gadzooks! -- it expects the technology to rocket from $1.1 billion last year to $300 billion by 2030. That's an 86% compound annual growth rate.Analyst Leo Mariani told investors in a research note that fuel-cell companies will see their business get a turbo-boost from a \"rapidly growing market for their services as fuel-cell adoption is poised to accelerate this decade.\" He initiated coverage of Plug Power with an overweight rating, putting a price target of $40 per share on the fuel-cell pioneer (that's 60% upside from its $25 per share level today).Plug Power shipped 4,559 GenDrive material fuel-cell products in the third quarter along with 16 hydrogen infrastructure systems, some 23% more for each compared to last year. Still, it continues to post losses, and the global supply-chain issues that are impacting all industries, as well as inflation, continue to pressure Plug's margins.Plug Power, though, sees a future for hydrogen fuel cells that goes well beyond its primary forklift market. And if Wall Street is even only partly correct about its growth potential, Plug could have a bright future ahead of it that would potentially turn $100 into far more.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":542,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9908174860,"gmtCreate":1659349468650,"gmtModify":1705979368250,"author":{"id":"3567239827558758","authorId":"3567239827558758","name":"tigernaut","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/66e331c670eb88443b88c6bdb76224cf","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567239827558758","authorIdStr":"3567239827558758"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍🏻","listText":"👍🏻","text":"👍🏻","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9908174860","repostId":"1163468864","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163468864","pubTimestamp":1659343896,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1163468864?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-08-01 16:51","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Alibaba, Nio, XPeng, Li Auto, Boeing, Activision Blizzard and HSBC: U.S. Stocks To Watch","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1163468864","media":"Benzinga","summary":"With US stock futures trading lower this morning on Monday ahead of earnings reports from several bi","content":"

With US stock futures trading lower this morning on Monday ahead of earnings reports from several big companies, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

Alibaba said it would work to maintain its New York and Hong Kong stock exchange listings after the Chinese e-commerce giant was placed on a delisting watchlist by U.S authorities.

XPeng Inc. recorded monthly deliveries in July of 11,524 Smart EVs, representing a 43% increase year-over-year.
