Meanwhile, Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin said the Fed “will do what it takes” to drive inflation back toward its 2% target, according to a Bloomberg report, while Reuters reported that Barkin saying the Fed’s efforts needn’t be “calamitous.”According to Citi Research, the bear-market rally refers to a bounce equal to or larger than 10% that takes place between the peak and the trough. “If a new low is made after a 10% rally, the next rally of more than 10% is a separate bear market rally (or a bull market, if no new lows are made subsequently),” wrote strategists. The S&P 500 was up 15.4% from its 52-week low of 3666.77 on June 16, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied 12.9%, and the NASDAQ Composite jumped 19.4% since their mid-June lows, according to Dow Jones Market Data. In total, Citigroup noted three indexes have experienced a 17% rally in the past 42 trading days since June 16.U.S. stocks finished the week sharply lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 292.30 points, or 0.9%, to finish at 33,706.74. . The S&P 500 was down 55.26 points, or 1.3%, to finish at 4,228.48. As of closing, Jumia stock was up 30.9%.So whatKeep in mind that a business like Jumia has some seasonality to it -- you'd expect fourth-quarter results to be stronger than first-quarter results, so it's better to look at year-over-year numbers. With that context, Jumia's gross merchandise value (the total value of products purchased on its platform) rose 27% from last year to $253 million. And total payment value with Jumia Pay increased 36.7% to $71 million. These increases in merchandise value and payment volume resulted in a 44% year-over-year increase in Jumia's revenue, which came in at $47.6 million.Image source: Getty Images.Importantly, Jumia's base of active customers also rose. The company ended Q1 with 3.1 active customers compared to just 2.4 million last year. That said, there were 3.8 million active customers at the end of 2021. However, there were 2.98 orders per active customer in Q1, which is a continued improvement from last quarter. Now whatIt appears Jumia's users are adopting its services for smaller purchases more frequently. And that's actually the company's goal; it doesn't want to be an infrequent option for large purchases. Rather, it wants to be a top-of-mind market for everyday items. For this reason, I'd say it was particularly good to see the increase in orders per act1ive customer. However, don't think that Jumia has finally arrived. To the contrary, it still has a long way to go. The company had a $66 million operating loss in Q1 as its gross profit margin fell from 75% last year to just 58% this year. Since 1998, FedEx has grown from less than a 10% market share to over 30% as of 2021, trailing only UPS in revenue generated from ground shipping. What makes the relationship between FedEx and UPS even more interesting is that despite similar sales over the last year of $92 billion and $97 billion, respectively, FedEx's market capitalization is only one-third as big as its primary peer. Market caps act as a price tag for stocks and, in this case, help highlight a pretty significant discrepancy between two similarly sized operations. So, what causes this large of a difference?Free cash flow margins.FDX Free Cash Flow data by YChartsDespite having similar revenue totals, UPS generated three times as much free cash flow as FedEx, thanks to its more efficient capital spending.I'm focusing on FedEx instead of UPS because FedEx's focus on small and medium-sized e-commerce businesses makes it uniquely positioned to benefit from an increasingly entrepreneurial global economy. While UPS shares this focus, FedEx has truly doubled down on its e-commerce capacity over the last few years, trading off short term profitability in favor of long-term cash flows -- across both its ground and freight segments. With U.S. e-commerce expected to grow by 50% over the next four years, according to Statista, FedEx should see solid top-line growth and improving margins from this portion of its business as it matures.Second, FedEx plans to finally integrate its acquisition of Europe-based TNT fully by the end of April, streamlining operations among the combined companies' flight routes and airports. While this acquisition has dragged on for years, the synergies from this purchase may finally take hold, making it pivotal for investors to watch in the upcoming quarters.Having restarted its dividend growth early in 2021, FedEx now yields 1.5% while maintaining a tiny payout ratio of 16% -- leaving ample room for increases in the future. Thanks to this dividend growth potential, the prospect of improving margins over the coming years, and its forward price-to-earnings ratio of only 9.9, FedEx makes for an excellent value stock to consider for the long term.CrocsHaving dropped over 50% from its 52-week highs, beloved foam shoe creator Crocs has seen its price-to-earnings ratio drop to a rarely seen 6.4.Perhaps due to concerns around its $2.5 billion acquisition of fellow plastic shoe company Hey Dude, Crocs shares have been roughed up despite posting 65% and 150% sales and earnings growth, respectively, in 2021.However, Hey Dude projects to be immediately accretive to both the top line and earnings, making the market's sentiment toward the stock confounding. Furthermore, Hey Dude's line of shoes created from recycled plastic pairs nicely with the clog maker's plan of reaching a net-zero carbon impact by 2030.Adding even more validation to bullish Crocs investors, the company's growing return on invested capital (ROIC) over the last five years has been simply phenomenal.CROX Return on Invested Capital data by YChartsROIC essentially measures a company's profitability compared to the capital circulating in the business.Historically, higher ROICs offer stronger outperformance potential, making Crocs' mark of 98% incredibly promising. Furthermore, stocks with consistently increasing ROICs tend to outperform the broader stock market -- making me wonder if Crocs' brightest days may still be ahead. As long as Crocs has a single-digit price-to-earnings ratio, its growth potential and this operational efficiency make it far too tempting for value investors not to consider buying.NVRUsing its unique, asset-light operating model (as far as home builders go), NVR offers investors an additional layer of security in an otherwise secular housing industry.By not participating in land development activities and avoiding direct land ownership, NVR removes many risks that other home-building stocks face. Instead, it signs lot purchase agreements that generally require the company to deposit up to 10% of the total lot price -- freeing up massive amounts of capital to be used elsewhere.Due to this differentiation from its peers, NVR holds a best-in-class ROIC among its largest peers in the residential construction sector.NVR Return on Invested Capital (5y Median) data by YChartsThe most important thing to note from the chart above is NVR's performance after the housing bubble and financial crisis from 2008 to 2010. While its ROIC faced unavoidable pressure, it still managed a 10% mark as its S&P 500 peers plummeted into negative territory.Sporting metrics this strong over its history, it may not surprise you to find out that NVR has smashed the broader market during its publicly traded history -- rising nearly 500% in just the last decade alone. On top of all this, NVR is a share-repurchasing wizard.NVR Shares Outstanding data by YChartsHighlighting the power of these buybacks, NVR grew net income by 10% in 2021 but saw earnings per share rise by 16% due to a lower share count. Thanks to this outstanding ROIC, share buyback history, and forward price-to-earnings ratio of only nine, dollar-cost averaging into a position with NVR seems like a sound idea.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ROIC":1,"FDX":0.9,"NVR":0.9,"CROX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":503,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9039978920,"gmtCreate":1645916378074,"gmtModify":1676534073569,"author":{"id":"3580799596568967","authorId":"3580799596568967","name":"WifeWhyWhy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/27b090f2d194da555f7652c92f28fc6b","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3580799596568967","idStr":"3580799596568967"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":2,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9039978920","repostId":"1188540468","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1188540468","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1645799796,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1188540468?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-25 22:36","market":"us","language":"en","title":"KAR Shares Surged over 48% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1188540468","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"KAR Shares Surged over 48% in Morning Trading. Some high-quality businesses like Coinbase , Crocs , and Target are selling at attractive prices right now.

Let's take a look at why you should seriously consider buying these three undervalued stocks.

Coinbase

Coinbase is the top cryptocurrency brokerage and exchange in the U.S. with 7.4 million monthly transacting users and over $1.2 billion in revenue in the most recent quarter (ended Sept. 30). Retail and institutional users can trade 103 differentcryptoassets on Coinbase's platform, and developers can use the company's technological infrastructure to build blockchain-based projects.

While the business did produce almost 90% of its sales from volatile and unpredictable transaction fees, management is investing heavily toward boosting subscription and services. A promising and potentially game-changing initiative is the soon-to-be-released Coinbase NFT, a marketplace for users to mint, buy, and discover non-fungible tokens.

In order to own Coinbase, you would need to believe that digital assets are here to stay. Effectively, it's a bet on the growth of the entire ecosystem. Investors don't have to choose which individual cryptocurrencies will go up in value as Coinbase should ultimately succeed as the whole industry goes more mainstream.

Coinbase shares have lost 48% from their all-time high set in early November. And the stock currently trades for aprice-to-earnings(P/E) ratio of just 17. No doubt, volatility is a key factor that investors need to consider. But if cryptocurrencies continue their growth in the decade ahead, Coinbase will be a major beneficiary, making it a solid investment.

Crocs

With sales that soared more than 50% in each of the past four quarters, Crocs has been experiencing a resurgence thanks to the pandemic. Consumers are increasingly focused on comfort and utility above all else, and Crocs has been a huge winner as a result. The company's remarkable gross margin of 63.9% significantly outshines that of heavyweight Nike.

Management fully understands that Crocs' fate depends upon the success of its popular foam clogs, which account for more than 82% of sales. But the recently announced$2.5 billion acquisitionof Italian casual footwear brand HeyDude is a clear sign of its intention to diversify the business. HeyDude is projected to generate $700 million to $750 million in revenue in 2022. It's profitable, experiencing rapid growth, and can easily tuck into Crocs' existing distribution channels and geographic footprint.

Even if we exclude the impact of the HeyDude purchase, the leadership team believes that Crocs will have $5 billion in annual sales by 2026. Continuing to utilize a marketing strategy focused on celebrity and branded collaborations -- as well as gaining share in China, the world's second-biggest footwear market -- will be vital to achieving this financial target.

Crocs' stock price has dropped 44% since November, and the company now sports a market cap of $9 billion. Given its ridiculously low P/E ratio of only 9, I think investors should pounce on this opportunity.

Target

The pandemic certainly dealt a blow to physical shopping, but because of investments made years ago to bolster its digital capabilities, Target was able to shine. The momentum is still strong as thistop retailerincreased same-store sales 12.7% year over year in its fiscal 2021 third-quarter, driven entirely by higher foot traffic. All five merchandise categories registered double-digit gains.

Target uses its footprint of more than 1,900 stores as local distribution hubs. Customers can order items for same-day curbside or in-store pick-up as well as for same-day delivery via Shipt. In the latest quarter that ended Oct. 30, these digital orders soared 60% year over year. And this was after skyrocketing 200% in the prior-year period. An incredible 95% of sales in the quarter were fulfilled by a Target store, helping inventory availability and reducing the need for costly logistics providers.

Although Target has been posting impressive sales and profit growth since the start of the pandemic, shares are selling today at an extremely attractive P/E ratio of 16. That's a lot lower than for such competitors as Amazon, Costco, and Walmart, all of which trade at multiples greater than 40. Shareholders should also be excited about regular dividends and stock repurchases.

Brick-and-mortar retail isn't dead; it's just changing to a more consumer-friendly, omnichannel approach. And Target is leading this digital transition.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Wildy Undervalued Stocks to Buy in a Heartbeat
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Wildy Undervalued Stocks to Buy in a Heartbeat\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-01-29 11:01 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The general weakness in the stock market is a great opportunity for shrewd investors to make a move.
