Probably because it's not as simple as choosing a stock to buy. You have to gauge (note: not know) when is the right time to handle your stock and deal with your emotions. Thinking that it's a good idea to stock up on the semiconductor chip stocks i.e. $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$$Qualcomm(QCOM)$ The shortage may be affecting revenue/outlook in the short term but these companies are stable with strong fundamentals. They are also diversifying their offerings and investing a lot in R&D.Buy and hold if you have the patience and capital to :)
