First of all, as Investorâs Business Daily reported on March 13, despite the âmarket correctionâ the âindexes (are) off [their] lows.â The latter development is very positive; it indicates that the worst of the correction â and the year-long decline by growth stocks â may very well be behind us.

Likely calming the markets are the realization by many investors that the interest rate hikes and the Russian-Ukrainian war probably will not cause the proverbial sky to fall. Interest rates will remain historically low, and high oil prices only caused a U.S. recession once, in 1973 when the cost of petroleum quickly quadrupled.

Moreover, with the EU having enough natural gas to make it through winter, a lack of Russian natural gas wonât lead to disaster for those countries. And the U.S., the EU and Russia will, in all likelihood, continue to seek to prevent the conflict from widening.

Also encouragingly, âlegendary quant investor Louis Navellierâ expects the market to surge in the second half of March,InvestorPlace Contributing Editor Jeff Remsberg recently reported.

With investors becoming less fearful, thereâs a good chance that growth stocks will rebound.

Among my favorite sectors now are solar energy names, electric vehicle (EV) charging companies, mining companies and biotech firms. I believe that the market is, in general, greatly underestimating the strength of these groups.

With that in my mind, these seven hot growth stocks definitely have what it takes to triple during the rest of the year:

EVgo(NASDAQ:EVGO)

ChargePoint Holdings(NYSE:CHPT)

Shoals(NASDAQ:SHLS)

Freeport McMoran(NYSE:FCX)

Novavax(NASDAQ:NVAX)

Enphase Energy(NASDAQ:ENPH)

Plug Power(NASDAQ:PLUG)

EVgo (EVGO)

From Feb. 24 to March 10, the shares jumped 30%. The rally came after the EV charging company announced that it had made deals to provide fast chargers for some customers of two huge Japanese automakers â Subaru and Toyota(NYSE:TM).

On Feb. 1, EVgo and Midwestern retailer Meije announced that the first of five EVgo charging stations had been opened at a Meijer store. EVgo indicated that it would add many more charging stations in partnership with the retailer, which has âmore than 240 stores.â

EVgo reports that it has the âlargest public fast charging network for electric vehiclesâ in the U.S. and is likely to add many more retail and hotel partners down the road. And making EVgo more attractive for automotive, hotel, and retail partners, the company says that itâs the âonly public network powered by 100% renewable electricity.â

Also likely fueling EVgoâs surge was ChargePointâs stronger-than-expected fourth quarter revenue and full-year sales guidance, which I will describe in some detail in the next section.

ChargePoint Holdings (CHPT)

The EV charging company reported that its sales had soared 90% year-over-year in the fourth quarter to $80.7 million, exceeding analystsâ average outlook by $4.6 million. And for its upcoming fiscal year, ChargePoint predicted that its sales would come in at $450 million â $500 million. The company stated that: âAt the midpoint, this (guidance) represents an anticipated increase of 96% as compared to the prior year.â The guidance was also way above analystsâ average estimate of $238 million.

Reacting to the results and guidance,Oppenheimerâs (NYSE:OPY) Colin Rusch wrote that, âWe believe the company is executing well on port growth and is gaining traction in the EU with the aid of its recent acquisition.â He added that the company âcould substantially outpace our revenue estimates through FY26â and kept an âoutperformâ rating on the name.

Later this year, the company, along with EVgo, should benefit from the rapid growth of EV sales in the U.S. and Europe. This growth is driven by the release of many new EV models and by the recent jump in gasoline prices. Moreover, CHPT stock and EVGO stock should also get lifts from the Infrastructure Law which includes significant funding for EV chargers.

Shoals (SHLS)

In the wake of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the EU is looking to meaningfully expand its use of solar energy over the next eight years, a Yale publication recently reported. Meanwhile, as Iâve noted in previous articles, China and many U.S. states are also implementing policies that should accelerate solar sector growth. By the end of the year, I expect the U.S. Congress to extend important tax breaks for the solar sector.

Shoals, which makes solar energy components, recently received the last certification that it needed to sell its products in the EU.

As of the end of Q4, the companyâs backlog jumped almost 100% year-over-year (YOY). Shoalsâ âbacklog and awarded ordersâ has reached nearly $300 million.

For 2022, Shoals expects its sales to soar 40% â 64% and predicted that its earnings, excluding certain items, would jump 40% â 54% to $300 million to $350 million.

To meet strong demand, Shoals plans to open a new U.S. factory next quarter.

Since Feb. 24, its shares have jumped more than 40%.

Freeport McMoran (FCX)

The copper producerâs Q4 revenue jumped 37% YOY to $1.1 billion, while its earnings per share (EPS), excluding certain items, was 96 cents. Last quarter, Freeport sold an impressive â1.020 billion pounds of copper,â and its expenses declined.

On March 4, the price of copper reached a record $4.938 per pound. As I noted in a previous article, âAlthough Russia mines just 4% of the worldâs copper, the price of the metal has surged about 10% since the invasion,â while the huge jump in the demand for electric vehicles and clean energy are also having a positive impact on the demand for copper.

Additionally,Seeking Alpha reported that just before the invasion, âcopper inventories at London Metal Exchange registered warehouses totaled less than 70K metric tons, their lowest level since 2005.â

A skilled technical analyst, andInvestorPlacecolumnist Bret Kenwell named FCX stock as one of eight âUptrend Stocks to Watch.â

He recently reported, âAnalysts expect about 14% revenue growth this year to go alongside almost 23% earnings growth. Despite the growth, shares trade at just under 13 times earnings.â

Amid the energy transition, continued strong inflation, and global instability. I believe that FCX stock can indeed triple this year. That would put the shares at slightly over double its 2010 high of just over $60.

Novavax (NVAX)

As I pointed out in a recent column on the shares, earlier this month, TheWall Street Journalstated that the companyâs vaccine âfor the coronavirus âis moving toward U.S. authorization.â The progress came âafter the company proved the effectiveness of its manufacturing process to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA),â I noted.

As a result ofThe Journalâsreport, I expect the jab to be approved by the end of June.

Meanwhile, Novavax is distributing its shot in Europe and Australia and obtained an approval for the shot in Canada.

With vaccination rates still low in many parts of the world, particularly in Africa, the demand for Novavaxâs shot around the world will probably be much stronger than the Street expects. With the shares trading at a price-revenue ratio of 1.26, based on the companyâs 2022 revenue guidance, its valuation is very attractive.

Enphase Energy (ENPH)

Like Shoals, with the EU poised to greatly expand its solar capacity, ENPH stock has risen meaningfully since the Russian invasion. The EUâs initiative, along with the likely extension of key tax breaks for solar energy in the U.S., is likely to give ENPH stock a big jolt higher later this year.

Making me more confident that Congress will act on the tax breaks is a letter sent by 89 House Democrats to President Joe Biden. The letter calls on the President to advance the climate provisions that were included in Congressional Democratsâ budget proposal which have since apparently been dropped.

On Feb. 8, Enphase reported much stronger-than-expected fourth quarter results Its Q4 revenue climbed 56% YOY to $412 million, beating analystsâ average outlook by $13 million. The companyâs operating income, excluding certain items, was an impressive $97.7 million.

Analysts, on average, expect the companyâs EPS to jump to $3.06 this year and $3.93 in 2023, versus $2.41 in 2021. If Congress passes extensive tax breaks and incentives for solar energy, Enphase will likely be able to easily eclipse those numbers.

Meanwhile, research firm Solar Media recently predicted that solar module costs would âremain elevated for the next 18 months at least.â The estimate suggests that strengthening demand for solar energy is at last causing solar component prices to remain elevated, boding very well for Enphase and ENPH stock.

Plug Power (PLUG)

Another company likely to benefit meaningfully this year from the energy transition and the Russian invasion is Plug Power. The company should also get lifts from the high prices of oil and natural gas. And from the implementation of the Infrastructure Law passed last year.

In past columns, Iâve pointed out that the EU is looking to greatly increase the use of hydrogen within its borders. In the wake of Russiaâs invasion of Ukraine, that initiative should meaningfully intensify. And with the Russian sanctions in play, South Korea is also likely to intensify its already ambitious hydrogen goals. Plug Power is partnering with South Korean conglomerate SK Group on multiple hydrogen projects.

Among the other trends that should lift PLUG stock this year are the higher oil and natural gas prices, the Infrastructure Law, and any additional efforts by Congress to incentivize clean energy.

As I pointed out in a previous column, Plug expects its margins from green hydrogen to increase going forward and reach âabout 30% in 2024.â Given the current high prices of fossil fuels and likely further, upcoming support for green hydrogen by multiple governments, that target is probably conservative.

By the middle of the year, PLUG stock should start reflecting Plugâs improved outlook, resulting in big rallies by the shares.

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; First of all, as Investorâs Business Daily reported on March 13, despite the âmarket correctionâ the âindexes (are) off [their] lows.â The latter development is very positive; it indicates that the worst of the correction â and the year-long decline by growth stocks â may very well be behind us.Likely calming the markets are the realization by many investors that the interest rate hikes and the Russian-Ukrainian war probably will not cause the proverbial sky to fall. With investors becoming less fearful, thereâs a good chance that growth stocks will rebound.Among my favorite sectors now are solar energy names, electric vehicle (EV) charging companies, mining companies and biotech firms. I believe that the market is, in general, greatly underestimating the strength of these groups. With that in my mind, these seven hot growth stocks definitely have what it takes to triple during the rest of the year:EVgo(NASDAQ:EVGO)ChargePoint Holdings(NYSE:CHPT)Shoals(NASDAQ:SHLS)Freeport McMoran(NYSE:FCX)Novavax(NASDAQ:NVAX)Enphase Energy(NASDAQ:ENPH)Plug Power(NASDAQ:PLUG)EVgo (EVGO)From Feb. 24 to March 10, the shares jumped 30%. The rally came after the EV charging company announced that it had made deals to provide fast chargers for some customers of two huge Japanese automakers â Subaru and Toyota(NYSE:TM).On Feb. 1, EVgo and Midwestern retailer Meije announced that the first of five EVgo charging stations had been opened at a Meijer store. EVgo indicated that it would add many more charging stations in partnership with the retailer, which has âmore than 240 stores.âEVgo reports that it has the âlargest public fast charging network for electric vehiclesâ in the U.S. and is likely to add many more retail and hotel partners down the road. And making EVgo more attractive for automotive, hotel, and retail partners, the company says that itâs the âonly public network powered by 100% renewable electricity.âAlso likely fueling EVgoâs surge was ChargePointâs stronger-than-expected fourth quarter revenue and full-year sales guidance, which I will describe in some detail in the next section.ChargePoint Holdings (CHPT)The EV charging company reported that its sales had soared 90% year-over-year in the fourth quarter to $80.7 million, exceeding analystsâ average outlook by $4.6 million. And for its upcoming fiscal year, ChargePoint predicted that its sales would come in at $450 million â $500 million. The company stated that: âAt the midpoint, this (guidance) represents an anticipated increase of 96% as compared to the prior year.â The guidance was also way above analystsâ average estimate of $238 million.Reacting to the results and guidance,Oppenheimerâs (NYSE:OPY) Colin Rusch wrote that, âWe believe the company is executing well on port growth and is gaining traction in the EU with the aid of its recent acquisition.â He added that the company âcould substantially outpace our revenue estimates through FY26â and kept an âoutperformâ rating on the name.Later this year, the company, along with EVgo, should benefit from the rapid growth of EV sales in the U.S. and Europe. This growth is driven by the release of many new EV models and by the recent jump in gasoline prices. Moreover, CHPT stock and EVGO stock should also get lifts from the Infrastructure Law which includes significant funding for EV chargers.Shoals (SHLS)In the wake of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the EU is looking to meaningfully expand its use of solar energy over the next eight years, a Yale publication recently reported. Meanwhile, as Iâve noted in previous articles, China and many U.S. states are also implementing policies that should accelerate solar sector growth. By the end of the year, I expect the U.S. Congress to extend important tax breaks for the solar sector.Shoals, which makes solar energy components, recently received the last certification that it needed to sell its products in the EU.As of the end of Q4, the companyâs backlog jumped almost 100% year-over-year (YOY). Shoalsâ âbacklog and awarded ordersâ has reached nearly $300 million. For 2022, Shoals expects its sales to soar 40% â 64% and predicted that its earnings, excluding certain items, would jump 40% â 54% to $300 million to $350 million. To meet strong demand, Shoals plans to open a new U.S. factory next quarter.Since Feb. 24, its shares have jumped more than 40%.Freeport McMoran (FCX)The copper producerâs Q4 revenue jumped 37% YOY to $1.1 billion, while its earnings per share (EPS), excluding certain items, was 96 cents. Last quarter, Freeport sold an impressive â1.020 billion pounds of copper,â and its expenses declined. On March 4, the price of copper reached a record $4.938 per pound. As I noted in a previous article, âAlthough Russia mines just 4% of the worldâs copper, the price of the metal has surged about 10% since the invasion,â while the huge jump in the demand for electric vehicles and clean energy are also having a positive impact on the demand for copper.Additionally,Seeking Alpha reported that just before the invasion, âcopper inventories at London Metal Exchange registered warehouses totaled less than 70K metric tons, their lowest level since 2005.âA skilled technical analyst, andInvestorPlacecolumnist Bret Kenwell named FCX stock as one of eight âUptrend Stocks to Watch.âHe recently reported, âAnalysts expect about 14% revenue growth this year to go alongside almost 23% earnings growth. Despite the growth, shares trade at just under 13 times earnings.âAmid the energy transition, continued strong inflation, and global instability. I believe that FCX stock can indeed triple this year. That would put the shares at slightly over double its 2010 high of just over $60.Novavax (NVAX)As I pointed out in a recent column on the shares, earlier this month, TheWall Street Journalstated that the companyâs vaccine âfor the coronavirus âis moving toward U.S. authorization.â The progress came âafter the company proved the effectiveness of its manufacturing process to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA),â I noted. As a result ofThe Journalâsreport, I expect the jab to be approved by the end of June.Meanwhile, Novavax is distributing its shot in Europe and Australia and obtained an approval for the shot in Canada. With vaccination rates still low in many parts of the world, particularly in Africa, the demand for Novavaxâs shot around the world will probably be much stronger than the Street expects. With the shares trading at a price-revenue ratio of 1.26, based on the companyâs 2022 revenue guidance, its valuation is very attractive.Enphase Energy (ENPH)Like Shoals, with the EU poised to greatly expand its solar capacity, ENPH stock has risen meaningfully since the Russian invasion. The EUâs initiative, along with the likely extension of key tax breaks for solar energy in the U.S., is likely to give ENPH stock a big jolt higher later this year.Making me more confident that Congress will act on the tax breaks is a letter sent by 89 House Democrats to President Joe Biden. The companyâs operating income, excluding certain items, was an impressive $97.7 million.Analysts, on average, expect the companyâs EPS to jump to $3.06 this year and $3.93 in 2023, versus $2.41 in 2021. If Congress passes extensive tax breaks and incentives for solar energy, Enphase will likely be able to easily eclipse those numbers.Meanwhile, research firm Solar Media recently predicted that solar module costs would âremain elevated for the next 18 months at least.â The estimate suggests that strengthening demand for solar energy is at last causing solar component prices to remain elevated, boding very well for Enphase and ENPH stock.Plug Power (PLUG)Another company likely to benefit meaningfully this year from the energy transition and the Russian invasion is Plug Power. The company should also get lifts from the high prices of oil and natural gas. And from the implementation of the Infrastructure Law passed last year.In past columns, Iâve pointed out that the EU is looking to greatly increase the use of hydrogen within its borders. In the wake of Russiaâs invasion of Ukraine, that initiative should meaningfully intensify. And with the Russian sanctions in play, South Korea is also likely to intensify its already ambitious hydrogen goals. Plug Power is partnering with South Korean conglomerate SK Group on multiple hydrogen projects.Among the other trends that should lift PLUG stock this year are the higher oil and natural gas prices, the Infrastructure Law, and any additional efforts by Congress to incentivize clean energy. As I pointed out in a previous column, Plug expects its margins from green hydrogen to increase going forward and reach âabout 30% in 2024.â Given the current high prices of fossil fuels and likely further, upcoming support for green hydrogen by multiple governments, that target is probably conservative.By the middle of the year, PLUG stock should start reflecting Plugâs improved outlook, resulting in big rallies by the shares.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":432,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9032983738,"gmtCreate":1647260545174,"gmtModify":1676534208820,"author":{"id":"4103590969874460","authorId":"4103590969874460","name":"Mekanoid","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3069076097242b2955bb08ad906259e6","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4103590969874460","authorIdStr":"4103590969874460"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yikes. $50 here we come","listText":"Yikes. $50 here we come","text":"Yikes. $50 here we come","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9032983738","repostId":"1129924154","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1129924154","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1647245400,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1129924154?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-14 16:10","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Sea Shares Fell More Than 4% in Premarket Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1129924154","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Sea shares fell more than 4% in premarket trading.Last Monday,Sea Ltd.employees were starting their ","content":"

Sea shares fell more than 4% in premarket trading.Last Monday,Sea Ltd.employees were starting their week when an email from Chief Executive Officer Forrest Li arrived. Despite this broad drop in tech companies, many businesses are seeing strong success operationally. The share prices are sinking, but these companies continue to grow their top-line and establish their leadership roles in their respective industries.

Both UiPath (NYSE:PATH) and Twilio (NYSE:TWLO) are in this boat. Shares of both tech stocks have fallen 35% and nearly 30%, respectively, despite strong growth across their businesses. With large markets ahead of them, I think today's prices could be optimal buying opportunities to get these innovative stocks at a bargain.

1. UiPath: Bringing AI to the enterprise

We have all been doing something so tedious and repetitive at work that we wish we could simply have it magically completed. It is, after all, a huge waste of our time because we would rather work on more thought-intensive, engaging work. With artificial intelligence-powered virtual bots, UiPath is turning our wishes into commands.

The company offers automation software that can emulate a human by understanding what is on a screen, extracting data, and making critical decisions. However, this software can do it much faster than humans, making 58% fewer mistakes. UiPath uses robotic process automation (RPA) in tandem with humans to make businesses more efficient. With UiPath, real workers are not fired or eliminated but rather freed to work on more critical tasks. UiPath has saved some of its customers millions of hours and dollars, which is why over 9,600 customers use UiPath and are currently spending 44% more than they did one year ago.

The stock has not fallen because of bad operational performance. The company has brought in $602.5 million in revenue so far this year, 50% higher than the year-ago period. Shares have taken a downturn because of the major uptick in the company's net loss. In the third quarter, the company lost almost $123 million -- more than the total net loss for the first nine months of 2020. This has been because UiPath has rapidly ramped up its spending on advertising, along with research and development.

This is not without good reason, however. The company projects that its addressable market will nearly double to $30 billion by 2024. UiPath is already the industry leader in RPA, according to Gartner's Magic Quadrant, but the company is ramping up spending to make sure its competitors like Automation Anywhere do not overtake them. With the RPA market growing so rapidly over the next few years, UiPath is spending now -- rather successfully -- to obtain brand recognition as the industry begins to explode.

Here's the bottom line: UiPath is the leader in a futuristic industry that is expected to grow rapidly over the next few years. With so much investment going toward capturing this growth, along with a dominant product that has caught the eyes of NASA and Alphabet, I think that today's share prices are a gift to long-term investors.

2. Twilio: Falling victim to the tech sell-off

With over 250,000 businesses using Twilio, most of us have used its technology without even recognizing it. Anyone who has ever communicated with a food delivery driver or Lyft driver has used Twilio's services unknowingly. The company is helping other enterprises communicate within apps, allowing consumers and businesses to connect easier. These services seem to have grown even more important for Twilio's users as they are now spending 31% more today than they did one year ago with the company.

Twilio posted year-over-year revenue growth of 65% in Q3, but some of that came from its acquisitions. Although the company has consistently been able to post impressive organic growth -- something most growth-by-acquisition companies lack. In Q3, the company's revenue improved 38% year over year organically, and it has been able to organically boost its top line by 34% or more year over year for the past nine quarters.

Shares have largely been sent downward in 2021, and Twilio's major net losses haven't been helping. The company lost $224 million in Q3, with almost $170 million of that being stock-based compensation. With large markets ahead of them, I think today's prices could be optimal buying opportunities to get these innovative stocks at a bargain.Image source: Getty Images.1. UiPath: Bringing AI to the enterpriseWe have all been doing something so tedious and repetitive at work that we wish we could simply have it magically completed. UiPath has saved some of its customers millions of hours and dollars, which is why over 9,600 customers use UiPath and are currently spending 44% more than they did one year ago.The stock has not fallen because of bad operational performance. With so much investment going toward capturing this growth, along with a dominant product that has caught the eyes of NASA and Alphabet, I think that today's share prices are a gift to long-term investors.2. Twilio: Falling victim to the tech sell-offWith over 250,000 businesses using Twilio, most of us have used its technology without even recognizing it. Anyone who has ever communicated with a food delivery driver or Lyft driver has used Twilio's services unknowingly. The company is helping other enterprises communicate within apps, allowing consumers and businesses to connect easier. These services seem to have grown even more important for Twilio's users as they are now spending 31% more today than they did one year ago with the company.Twilio posted year-over-year revenue growth of 65% in Q3, but some of that came from its acquisitions. Although the company has consistently been able to post impressive organic growth -- something most growth-by-acquisition companies lack. In Q3, the company's revenue improved 38% year over year organically, and it has been able to organically boost its top line by 34% or more year over year for the past nine quarters.Shares have largely been sent downward in 2021, and Twilio's major net losses haven't been helping. The company lost $224 million in Q3, with almost $170 million of that being stock-based compensation. While this might be worrisome today, it is overshadowed by the impressive top-line growth that the company is seeing, both organically and inorganically, in this lucrative market. At 17 times sales, this stock is trading at levels not seen since mid-2020, leaving an opportunistic window for investors. The use of in-app communication will only become more prevalent as the world continues to adopt these habits, and Twilio has been and will likely continue benefiting from it. This strategy is great when real estate prices are rising across the board, but when pockets of the market go soft, it can result in significant losses.

Zillow recently listed up to 1,000 of its homes for sale in its five largest markets, 64% of which were reportedly priced below what it paid for them. And in Phoenix, Arizona, up to 93% of its properties are slated to be sold at a loss. In the recent third quarter, Zillow's iBuying segment lost $244 million and erased all of the gross profit the segment had made for the entire year.

Part of the issue is Zillow's broad geographical footprint. It operates in, and therefore had to carefully track, up to 35 markets across the U.S. Offerpad, on the other hand, operates in 17 markets. Where Zillow's iBuying average gross profit per home peaked at $18,665, Offerpad's average peak (so far) is $31,500 per home in the second quarter of 2021.

It highlights the importance of being selective, because like any asset class, home prices constantly fluctuate, and being on the wrong side can be catastrophic. For Offerpad, now that its largest competitor has moved out of the way, it has an opportunity to grow its market share in the higher-quality markets Zillow has left behind.

A surge in revenue

By the close of 2021, Offerpad expects it will have sold up to 6,000 homes for the year, driving a record revenue result. In the recent third quarter, it actually increased its 2021 revenue guidance by $100 million. But in 2022, analysts expect it will do even better.

Metric

2020

2021 (Estimate)

2022 (Projected)

CAGR

Revenue

$1.06 billion

$1.90 billion

$3.53 billion

82%

Data source: Offerpad, Yahoo! Finance. CAGR = Compound Annual Growth Rate.

Offerpad's gross profit per home of $22,700 in the third quarter was down from the $31,500 it generated in the second quarter. However, it was still a 48% year-over-year gain and is therefore trending in the right direction.

The company attributes its success to a combination of its technology and people. Where other iBuying companies rely solely on algorithms to price a home, Offerpad allows technology to do 90% of the work, and it then uses physical intervention by its employees to inspect the home and bring the deal to a close.

Additionally, it adds value by renovating houses using Offerpad-employed tradespeople, which allows it to achieve higher sale prices compared to simply flipping a property immediately. The company aims to buy, renovate, and sell each home within 100 days.

The stock is cheap

Offerpad's stock trades at a price-to-sales multiple of just 0.8. By comparison, and despite all of its issues, Zillow's stock trades at a multiple of 2.1 based on estimated 2021 revenue. That means Offerpad's stock would need to double from here just to trade in line with its tech-real estate peer.

If Offerpad meets analysts' expectations and generates $3.53 billion in revenue next year, its multiple will shrink further to just 0.4 (assuming its stock price remains the same). That makes its recent 68% decline in share price look like an attractive opportunity going into 2022.

Offerpad is expected to post a loss overall for 2021, but JMP Securities expects it will close out 2021 with a fourth-quarter profit of $0.35 per share. The firm's price target of $12 might even look conservative if Offerpad can turn profitable next year -- it's even possible it could revisit its highs near $20 per share -- but it operates in a tough business, and investors should proceed with cautious optimism.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
1 Growth Stock Down 68% That Wall Street Thinks Could Soar in 2022
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n1 Growth Stock Down 68% That Wall Street Thinks Could Soar in 2022\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-01-01 10:26 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Let's be clear: Any stock that collapses by 68% from its high carries inherent risks, and that's certainly the case with real estate iBuying company Offerpad Solutions (NYSE:OPAD).Offerpad buys homes ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"OPAD":"Offerpad Solutions","BK4548":"ć·ŽçŸćæ·çŠæä»","BK4551":"ćŻćŸè”æŹæä»","Z":"Zillow","ZG":"Zillow Class A","BK4079":"æżć°äș§æćĄ"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/12/31/1-growth-stock-down-68-soar-2022-says-wall-street/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2195481004","content_text":"Let's be clear: Any stock that collapses by 68% from its high carries inherent risks, and that's certainly the case with real estate iBuying company Offerpad Solutions (NYSE:OPAD).Offerpad buys homes directly from sellers, adds value by renovating them, and then flips them for a profit. Peloton's products were in high demand when economies were in various phases of lockdowns and nonessential businesses, including gyms, were forced to close their doors to the public. That limited the ways folks could exercise, and they turned to Peloton in large numbers.

The surge in demand was so pronounced that Peloton had difficulty fulfilling orders. At one point, customers had to wait more than ten weeks to receive their exercise equipment. In response, management made investments to increase manufacturing capacity and reduce delivery times.

Unfortunately for Peloton, several effective vaccines against COVID-19 were developed, economies started reopening, and demand for in-home exercise equipment decreased. Meanwhile, Peloton is stuck with a higher expense base because of its investments to increase capacity. In its most recent quarter ended Sept. 30, Peloton reported a net loss of $367 million compared to a net profit of $69.3 million at the same time last year.

To make matters worse, Peloton had decreased the price of its bike from $1,895 to $1,495. The move did create increased purchasing from price-sensitive consumers but not enough to offset the considerable price decrease. As a result, revenue in the connected-fitness-products segment (which includes bike sales) fell from $601 million in the third quarter of 2020 to $501 million in Q3 2021. Meanwhile, supply-chain disruptions are raising input and transportation costs; the cost to fulfill sales increased by 21.1% year over year in Q3.

One potential, near-term bright spot for Peloton is the $1.27 billion of inventory it had on hand ahead of the lucrative holiday shopping season -- up from $937 million in the prior quarter. The quarter ending in December typically is the most lucrative for Peloton, coinciding with not only holiday gift-giving but also new year resolution-induced purchasing. So management is hopeful for strong sales this quarter.

Peloton's stock is a relative bargain

Peloton's stock has undoubtedly faced a steep price decline in 2021 -- and for clear reasons. Customer demand leveled off as economies reopened; meanwhile, management was making investments to increase capacity. All of this has shaken investor confidence. At one point in the last two years, Peloton's stock was selling at a price-to-sales ratio over 20. As of this writing, it's down to 2.7.

Yet Peloton's stock price crash could now be a bargain for long-term investors who can tolerate any further volatility the company could go through in the short term as it adjusts to changing consumer behavior.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Bargain Shopping? Meanwhile, Peloton is stuck with a higher expense base because of its investments to increase capacity. In its most recent quarter ended Sept. 30, Peloton reported a net loss of $367 million compared to a net profit of $69.3 million at the same time last year.To make matters worse, Peloton had decreased the price of its bike from $1,895 to $1,495. The move did create increased purchasing from price-sensitive consumers but not enough to offset the considerable price decrease. As a result, revenue in the connected-fitness-products segment (which includes bike sales) fell from $601 million in the third quarter of 2020 to $501 million in Q3 2021. Meanwhile, supply-chain disruptions are raising input and transportation costs; the cost to fulfill sales increased by 21.1% year over year in Q3.One potential, near-term bright spot for Peloton is the $1.27 billion of inventory it had on hand ahead of the lucrative holiday shopping season -- up from $937 million in the prior quarter. The quarter ending in December typically is the most lucrative for Peloton, coinciding with not only holiday gift-giving but also new year resolution-induced purchasing. So management is hopeful for strong sales this quarter.Peloton's stock is a relative bargainPeloton's stock has undoubtedly faced a steep price decline in 2021 -- and for clear reasons. Customer demand leveled off as economies reopened; meanwhile, management was making investments to increase capacity. All of this has shaken investor confidence. At one point in the last two years, Peloton's stock was selling at a price-to-sales ratio over 20. As of this writing, it's down to 2.7.Yet Peloton's stock price crash could now be a bargain for long-term investors who can tolerate any further volatility the company could go through in the short term as it adjusts to changing consumer behavior.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":285,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9001099522,"gmtCreate":1641096236994,"gmtModify":1676533572138,"author":{"id":"4103590969874460","authorId":"4103590969874460","name":"Mekanoid","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3069076097242b2955bb08ad906259e6","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4103590969874460","authorIdStr":"4103590969874460"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"@Cheekybunbungood ones ","listText":"@Cheekybunbungood ones ","text":"@Cheekybunbungood ones","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9001099522","repostId":"2200441314","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2200441314","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1641085740,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2200441314?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-01-02 09:09","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 No-Brainer Stocks Down 27% to 35% to Buy for 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2200441314","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These hot tech stocks might be a steal at these prices.","content":"

While the stock market at large is hitting all-time highs, many technology stocks have been getting hammered in 2021. It's not an easy business, as Offerpad's largest competitor, Zillow Group (NASDAQ:Z)(NASDAQ:ZG) recently proved when it dropped out of the segment after sustaining significant losses.

But there are bright spots to Offerpad's different approach, and Wall Street firm JMP Securities thinks the stock has what it takes to rise by 84% in the next 12 to 18 months to $12 a share. Here's why.

Being selective is key for Offerpad

Since 2019, Zillow has been on a home-buying binge, purchasing 26,014 houses -- in some cases, multiple-home estates -- with the intention of reselling them quickly for a profit.

It's not an easy business, as Offerpad's largest competitor, Zillow Group (NASDAQ:Z)(NASDAQ:ZG) recently proved when it dropped out of the segment after sustaining significant losses.Image source: Getty Images. But there are bright spots to Offerpad's different approach, and Wall Street firm JMP Securities thinks the stock has what it takes to rise by 84% in the next 12 to 18 months to $12 a share. Here's why.Being selective is key for OfferpadSince 2019, Zillow has been on a home-buying binge, purchasing 26,014 houses -- in some cases, multiple-home estates -- with the intention of reselling them quickly for a profit. This strategy is great when real estate prices are rising across the board, but when pockets of the market go soft, it can result in significant losses.Zillow recently listed up to 1,000 of its homes for sale in its five largest markets, 64% of which were reportedly priced below what it paid for them. And in Phoenix, Arizona, up to 93% of its properties are slated to be sold at a loss. In the recent third quarter, Zillow's iBuying segment lost $244 million and erased all of the gross profit the segment had made for the entire year.Part of the issue is Zillow's broad geographical footprint. It operates in, and therefore had to carefully track, up to 35 markets across the U.S. Offerpad, on the other hand, operates in 17 markets. Where Zillow's iBuying average gross profit per home peaked at $18,665, Offerpad's average peak (so far) is $31,500 per home in the second quarter of 2021.It highlights the importance of being selective, because like any asset class, home prices constantly fluctuate, and being on the wrong side can be catastrophic. For Offerpad, now that its largest competitor has moved out of the way, it has an opportunity to grow its market share in the higher-quality markets Zillow has left behind.A surge in revenueBy the close of 2021, Offerpad expects it will have sold up to 6,000 homes for the year, driving a record revenue result. In the recent third quarter, it actually increased its 2021 revenue guidance by $100 million. But in 2022, analysts expect it will do even better.Metric20202021 (Estimate)2022 (Projected)CAGRRevenue$1.06 billion$1.90 billion$3.53 billion82%Data source: Offerpad, Yahoo! Finance. CAGR = Compound Annual Growth Rate.Offerpad's gross profit per home of $22,700 in the third quarter was down from the $31,500 it generated in the second quarter. However, it was still a 48% year-over-year gain and is therefore trending in the right direction. The company attributes its success to a combination of its technology and people. Where other iBuying companies rely solely on algorithms to price a home, Offerpad allows technology to do 90% of the work, and it then uses physical intervention by its employees to inspect the home and bring the deal to a close.Additionally, it adds value by renovating houses using Offerpad-employed tradespeople, which allows it to achieve higher sale prices compared to simply flipping a property immediately. The company aims to buy, renovate, and sell each home within 100 days. The stock is cheapOfferpad's stock trades at a price-to-sales multiple of just 0.8. By comparison, and despite all of its issues, Zillow's stock trades at a multiple of 2.1 based on estimated 2021 revenue. That means Offerpad's stock would need to double from here just to trade in line with its tech-real estate peer.If Offerpad meets analysts' expectations and generates $3.53 billion in revenue next year, its multiple will shrink further to just 0.4 (assuming its stock price remains the same). That makes its recent 68% decline in share price look like an attractive opportunity going into 2022.Offerpad is expected to post a loss overall for 2021, but JMP Securities expects it will close out 2021 with a fourth-quarter profit of $0.35 per share. The firm's price target of $12 might even look conservative if Offerpad can turn profitable next year -- it's even possible it could revisit its highs near $20 per share -- but it operates in a tough business, and investors should proceed with cautious optimism.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":666,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9003753266,"gmtCreate":1641090226072,"gmtModify":1676533571092,"author":{"id":"4103590969874460","authorId":"4103590969874460","name":"Mekanoid","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3069076097242b2955bb08ad906259e6","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4103590969874460","authorIdStr":"4103590969874460"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"@Cheekybunbuntesla","listText":"@Cheekybunbuntesla","text":"@Cheekybunbuntesla","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9003753266","repostId":"1173416252","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":501,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9034879054,"gmtCreate":1647865924715,"gmtModify":1676534273276,"author":{"id":"4103590969874460","authorId":"4103590969874460","name":"Mekanoid","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3069076097242b2955bb08ad906259e6","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4103590969874460","authorIdStr":"4103590969874460"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"@CraigD001ENPH","listText":"@CraigD001ENPH","text":"@CraigD001ENPH","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9034879054","repostId":"1141629779","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1141629779","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1647738357,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1141629779?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-20 09:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"7 Hot Growth Stocks That Are Poised to Triple This Year","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1141629779","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"These growth stocks will get big lifts from powerful, ongoing trendsSource: Who is Danny / Shutterst","content":"

These growth stocks will get big lifts from powerful, ongoing trends

Source: Who is Danny / Shutterstock.com

The macroeconomic stars might very well be aligned for a big rebound by the stock market.

$50 here we come","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9032983738","repostId":"1129924154","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1129924154","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1647245400,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1129924154?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-14 16:10","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Sea Shares Fell More Than 4% in Premarket Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1129924154","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Sea shares fell more than 4% in premarket trading.Last Monday,Sea Ltd.employees were starting their ","content":"

Sea shares fell more than 4% in premarket trading.Last Monday,Sea Ltd.employees were starting their week when an email from Chief Executive Officer Forrest Li arrived.
