But Disney+ has reaccelerated over the past few quarters, while theme parks are also experiencing strong demand right now.</p><p>While Disney+ added 7.9 million Disney+ subscribers in the quarter ending April 2, CEO Bob Chapek called the performance at the parks a standout. &#34;They continue to fire on all cylinders, powered by strong demand coupled with customized and personalized guest experience enhancements that grew per capita spending by more than 40% versus 2019,&#34; Chapek said during the fiscal second-quarter earnings call with analysts.</p><p>With the stock trading around the same level as the time management unveiled Disney+ in April 2019, investors are truly getting a fantastic deal on the House of Mouse right now. With inflationary pressures causing the price of goods to skyrocket, more consumers are visiting BJ&#39;s to find the best deals.</p><p>Year-to-date, BJ&#39;s shares are down only 6.8% compared to 17% for the <b>S&amp;P 500</b> index. The company entered the year with momentum. In the fiscal fourth quarter of 2021 (which ended Jan. 29), comparable-store sales were up 21.8% compared to the same period two years ago before the pandemic started.</p><p>BJ&#39;s said that inflationary pressures were causing an increase in freight costs, but it was successfully offsetting that with price increases in select categories. The good news: People are still shopping at BJ&#39;s.</p><p>For the next few years, management is focused on accelerating growth. BJ&#39;s has a high concentration of sales in the New York metro area, which accounted for 23% of total sales in fiscal 2021. All sectors within the crypto space have seen double-digit losses during this period, with cryptocurrencies related to Web 3, the so-called next generation of the internet, posting the biggest loss of 41% on average, according to analysts at Messari.</p><p>The series of events may herald the beginning of another &#34;crypto winter,&#34; said one industry participant, echoing a common theme this week on <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TWTR\">Twitter</a>.</p><p>Some are more optimistic. &#34;It&#39;s a pattern. Back when we look at what happened in 2014, the crash happened and there&#39;s a big panic. People say, oh, crypto is dead. It&#39;s not coming back. But of course, it has come back,&#34; Mike Belshe, founder and chief executive at crypto infrastructure provider BitGo, told MarketWatch in an interview.</p><p>To be sure, the industry is still nascent and lightly regulated, while the crypto market remains volatile with high risks.</p><h2>Bitcoin drawdown</h2><p>At a Thursday low of $25,402, bitcoin was down 63% from its all-time high of $68,990 in November. The percentage of decline is larger than the 54% fall from the cycle high in July 2021, but smaller than that in other bear markets.</p><p>The chart below shows bitcoin&#39;s previous drawdown from each cycle highs.</p><p>In March 2020, bitcoin was down up to 77% from the cycle high, according to Glassnode data. In the bear markets of January 2015 and December 2018, bitcoin capitulated at lows of 85.5% and 83.8% from local highs, respectively, according to Glassnode data.</p><h2>Market bottom?</h2><p>Some said bitcoin is nearing a &#34;generational cyclical bottom.&#34;</p><p>Bitcoin&#39;s low on Thursday is close to its realized price, the aggregated cost basis of investors on-chain, which currently stands at $24,000, Will Clemente, lead insights analyst at bitcoin mining company Blockware Solutions, wrote in a Friday note.  &#34;Any prices below realized price should be seen as extreme value,&#34; Clemente wrote.</p><p>Historically, whenever bitcoin&#39;s price approached the realized price, it indicated a buying opportunity, Clemente told MarketWatch in a recent interview.</p><p>It&#39;s also worth watching bitcoin&#39;s 200-week moving average price, which usually indicates a cyclical bottom, Clemente said. Here&#39;s the number that counts</p><p>&#34;I think that this is just the beginning of an ongoing decline in crypto,&#34; Jay Hatfield, chief investment officer at Infrastructure Capital Management, told MarketWatch in a recent interview.</p><p>Hatfield attributed bitcoin&#39;s high return in 2020 and 2021 partly to the Federal Reserve&#39;s quantitative easing policy. &#34;We had an unprecedented increase in Fed liquidity, buying $120 billion a month of securities. And now we will have an erratic shift to a reduction in liquidity for $95 billion per month,&#34; Hatfield said.</p><p>&#34;The Fed hasn&#39;t even begun to do quantitative tightening. They just said they&#39;re going to,&#34; Hatfield said.</p><p>Hatfield estimated bitcoin could fall to $20,000 by the end of this year, and said in the worst scenario, it may drop back to its pre-pandemic level, which was about $10,000. &#34;I&#39;m not predicting we&#39;ll get there, but $10,000 would be a reasonable target,&#34; Hatfield said. That puts TGT stock on a forward P/E of just 15.5 times earnings.</p><p>The fact is people will still buy groceries, clothes, and cheap items at fashionable discount stores like Target during a recession. The stock is trading higher than <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> year ago, but it is down about 20% year to date.</p><p>Over the previous three fiscal years, Apple has repurchased shares worth over 8.5% of its current market cap. Add to this the $43 billion repurchased in the first half of fiscal 2022, and this jumps to more than 10%. This fantastic return of capital to stockholders, shown below, makes Apple a very shareholder-friendly company. The board of directors has just authorized an additional $90 billion for the repurchase program. With this, Apple can repurchase more shares for the same investment when the stock price is lower. Then when the market turns bullish again, shareholders could see greater profits.</p><p>Apple posted another record for sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2022 and has generated more than enough cash from operations to fund the dividend and continue the current pace of the buyback program. This performance could propel the stock to continue outperforming the market for years to come.</p><h2>2. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/ORLY\">O&#39;Reilly Automotive</a></h2><p>New and used car prices have skyrocketed over the past year. The semiconductor shortage coupled with supply chain hiccups has created a scarcity of available vehicles. With demand outweighing supply, vehicle prices spiked, as shown below.</p><p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/68c7c021d77f48dad1f519bbf95b8418\" tg-width=\"720\" tg-height=\"433\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/><span>US Consumer Price Index: New and Used Motor Vehicles data by YCharts.</span></p><p>The extreme price leap now has many potential car buyers holding off on buying and instead holding on to their current cars and trucks. This means more money is spent on parts and repairs to maintain those vehicles. That means growth for <b>O&#39;Reilly Automotive</b> and an inflation hedge for its shareholders.</p><p>O&#39;Reilly supplies professionals and DIYers with everything they need to keep vehicles in running order. In the first quarter of 2022, it reported same-store sales growth approaching 5% year over year. This follows an increase of 24.8% in the previous year, meaning comparable sales have grown almost 30% since Q1 2020.</p><p>O&#39;Reilly does have a headwind related to rising fuel prices. Transporting parts will be more expensive, and management will have to be diligent to maintain margins. During the last earnings call, management kept its 2022 guidance for an operating margin of around 21%, roughly the same as in 2021. Add to this the $43 billion repurchased in the first half of fiscal 2022, and this jumps to more than 10%. This fantastic return of capital to stockholders, shown below, makes Apple a very shareholder-friendly company. The semiconductor shortage coupled with supply chain hiccups has created a scarcity of available vehicles. In the first quarter of 2022, it reported same-store sales growth approaching 5% year over year. Transporting parts will be more expensive, and management will have to be diligent to maintain margins.
