$Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ when Google is green, it's not under its own merit, but due to the overall market going up. how sad of a stock. $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ and $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ already up 1% overnight. the stock keeps giving people hope being up 1%. only to fall 3% the next day. one step forward two steps back
$Intel(INTC)$ This stock is down 50% from a year ago, and you have to go all the way back to 2012 to find any time it was this low. Question for experts on Intel stock .. Any chance it could drop to $15 share price ? I'm a buyer of Intel at the $15 price range. I think Intel has been classified by the Federal government as " too big to fail " .. Correct ?
$C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$ AI is a risky bet. Over the past year I made a lot of money selling puts on AI at increasing strike prices, and when AI moved up over $30 after its last earnings report on February 28, 2024, I bought back all of my outstanding puts profitably and moved to the sidelines. Then I had another chance to sell puts at favorable prices again in May and quickly bought them back in June. The volatility in the price of AI has enabled me to serially sell these puts for rich premiums, and buy them back to capture the gains. Because I know that the upside potential for AI is limited, last week I once again sold puts on AI.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ It’s a great company but with a market cap of $2.6 trillion, so it already seems a bit inflated. We certainly won’t see anything like past performance moving on from here; expecting that is delusional thinking IMHO. I’m not saying it’s going to collapse, but at these valuations there is not much more it can run. It could correct further too if recession fears and AI bubble fears kick in. It’ll come back, but some short term pain is very credible scenario.
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Had TSLA held $220 and/or broken $223, I would have covered about half my short today. Given the fall, I have increased my short position by another 20% today. Average short is now $244. Target is $203, and I will sell half. Warren is selling $Apple(AAPL)$ . If he had Tesla shares, he would drop them like they were stinking potatoes. I said be careful
$Monolithic Power(MPWR)$ MPWR is a solid company with a strong track record, no doubt about that. But honestly, it’s looking a bit overpriced right now. The fundamentals are great, but the valuation feels off. So, I’m feeling pretty bearish in the short term. I think we might see some pullback before it’s worth diving back in. Right now, I’m keeping a close eye and waiting for a better entry point.

Is Nvidia Stock a Bubble?

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ The share price is beginning to reflect the true value of NVDA. For many months the bubble was continuing to expand, tens of thousands of novice investors (speculators) were buying believing the unrealistic share value was a printing press turning out non existent profits. Mr. Market stepped in and said enough, AI is still finding it's place but big money responds to better known, solidly footed stocks as the rate of inflation subsides. Yes NVDA is a solid company, but had a very unrealistic share price very similar to $Cisco(CSCO)$ twenty five years or so ago. Think Nvidia Stock Is a Bubble?

$XIAOMI-W(01810)$ $Xiaomi Corp.(XIACY)$ Haha, looks like we're diving down to 12 now! Time for all those eager buyers to jump in. It seems like the big players are taking their sweet time unloading, and it's dragging on. If you're ready to pick up some shares, this might be your chance before the main players finish their exit. Just stay sharp and watch the moves!
$Lululemon Athletica(LULU)$ Buyback would be better at this stage rather than a div. Management though probably wants to keep investing for Asian growth, while avoiding debt. I'd rather have a solid balance sheet (for an apparel company) and no div than debt to fund growth and a div. I took a small position. I'll think about adding later as I believe September might provide some overall dips.
$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ There’s honestly no telling how low AMD will go in the next 1-2 months. AMD’s earnings and forecast was lackluster. AMD was completely relying on $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ in hopes of riding its coattails because AMD can’t yet stand on its own two feet. Nvidia is now imploding, and now AMD is riding its coattails downward. Until AMD can deliver blowout earnings and strongly raise forecast it is going to drift aimlessly with the markets, and most likely downward regardless. AMD is red YTD. That’s all an investor needs to know now.

Don't surprise to see NVDA pull back quite a bit

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ AI is indeed expensive, and just like in the dot com era there will be consolidation as competitors are forced to drop out and the winners take the lion's share of the profits. That's just how it's always been.People were writing off $Microsoft(MSFT)$ for dead after the dot com bust, saying Microsoft was a one-trick pony and Windows would become irrelevant. But Microsoft re-invented itself and came back much stronger. A pure dot-com play, $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ , was labeled "just a book seller" and it fell from lofty heights during dot-com mania to 20% of its value before shooting back up again too eventually dominate th

$Marathon Digital Holdings Inc(MARA)$ Let's not lose sight of the fact that MARA's all-in cost of mining bitcoin in 2Q was 100K per coin (and that is before stock based compensation, and with 19 days of the quarter occurring before the halving). So right now it is way cheaper for MARA to buy bitcoin than to mine it.MARA themselves said on the 2Q conference call that transforming into a company that hosts AI applications was not a feasible business model for them. The only way the bitcoin mining companies can avoid bankruptcy, and to allow the execs to collect their millions in salary and compensation, is to issue shares and/or have the price of bitcoin go a lot higher. So sure, why not borrow money (or issue shares) and bu
$Momentus Inc.(MNTS)$ It’s looking like this was a classic pump and dump, and now we’re left holding the bag. The chances of another spike seem pretty slim at this point. We might be stuck with this for a while, especially if there’s no real substance behind the initial surge. It's super frustrating, I know. Watching the stock tank after getting excited about those gains is a rough spot to be in. Maybe it’s time to focus on minimizing losses and keeping an eye out for other opportunities.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ After the gigantic run-up I would not place my bets on yet another huge run-up after Q2 earnings. This train has left the station - quite some time ago. Even if it goes up 10%, even 50% - what on earth do people still expect? They will never realize that they dream of the returns they COULD have made had they gotten in in, say 2015. There is no way from these levels the stock will appreciate by multiples even close to that. But the downside risk is absolutely gigantic. Upside - even if it were another 300% - that is not extraordinary for a downside risk of such monstrous proportions. When the bottom falls out - and that point is near, absolutely insane, I have no other words. Sorry to say.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ History shows that trying to catch the tail end of a late-stage bubble is a recipe for disappointment (and major losses). And by this point, NVDA is a bubble. Those who invested early in this AI-fueled rally made big profits, but anyone investing now faces more potential downside than upside.Could the bubble inflate further in the near-term? Of course, it can. But do you feel confident that you can get out in time? I certainly do not, which is why I have passed on this "opportunity".
$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ I have owned SMCI (none currently) and currently own 10k shares of $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ . I believe as investors, we want SMCI to go from let's say $500 to $1k and doubling our investment pre-split. My question is, why wouldn't we just own NVDA as it seems much less volatile and has a great chance of doubling somewhere in the same timeframe as SMCI? I previously did own 850 shares of SMCI but was a difficult stock to hold and manage. Also $Dell Technologies Inc.(DELL)$ at these prices seem pretty attractive.
$Ballard Power(BLDP)$ I am surprised management has not slowed R&D and capital spend more so they can use the remaining money to string out salaries over a longer period. They have not plan for profitability so this is just long slow salary play. They just need to get to retirement. At this point one has to ask whether it would be better to shut down the company and give what ever cash is left to the share holders.
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Everytime I see a Tesla on the road, and there aren't many, I think what a total loser to buy that. I really think Elon has done damage to the brand. I would never buy it. His opinions aren't even logical, they are just opportunistic or two-faced. He makes all his money selling stock and bilking company money. 56 billion is 6 years of forward earnings. Holders of Tesla can't do math. If the CEO takes 6 forward years of earnings in a pay package, who on earth would buy the shares at $200, or 60x forward with almost no growth and reliant on subsidies. Tesla shareholders are donating money. They rely on hype. They rely on others not being able to do math.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ With a PE of 60, NVDA has to have great earnings growth (they most likely will IMO). If that growth stops or slows dramatically, it will be a very sharp selloff. That is the risk with high PE stocks. NVDA is a small potato now,, No one is wanting to own it anymore, stock price shows it, down 40% from the high. If we hit the 200 day average, NVDA is going to $81.14. Ouch
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ What about those who bought at $190 and sold at $250 or higher and are now waiting to see how much the market tanks? Those are REAL winners in my book. Baggies who held and are now stuck and those who were bagged 7 months ago had a chance to break even. Massive opportunity to book good profits wasted.
