A heartwarming family reunion recently took place in Yiwu, bringing immense joy to Xia Guanxing and Ke Lingxiang from Xiwangjie Village in Choujiang Subdistrict.
After providing blood samples and waiting for five years, the elderly couple has finally been reunited with their daughter, Zhu Xuefeng, who had been missing for 50 years.
At 10 a.m. that day, in front of the Youth Bar at Jiangbin Park, 50-year-old Zhu Xuefeng and her 82-year-old mother, Ke Lingxiang, embraced tightly, their tears soaking each other's shoulders.
Ke Lingxiang, Zhu Xuefeng's mother, expressed her happiness, stating that with the assistance of the Love Commune and public security authorities, they had finally found their daughter, bringing great joy to her and her husband.
It is understood that Zhu Xuefeng has long resided in Jindong District, Jinhua City, and has known since childhood that she was adopted. The wish to find her biological family had been buried in her heart for decades, though she had never taken action.
This lifelong yearning was noticed by her own daughter. With her daughter's repeated encouragement and persuasion, Zhu Xuefeng finally gathered the courage to embark on the long-awaited journey to find her family.
Fortunately, over the decades, Xia Guanxing and Ke Lingxiang had never given up searching for their lost daughter. In 2021, upon learning that DNA blood sample matching could aid in family searches, they promptly submitted their samples for database registration.
After a full five years, they finally received news of their missing daughter's reappearance.
Zhao Yunfeng, the person in charge of the Love Commune's family search project, explained that this reunion was the culmination of a mutual effort spanning many years. The couple had already submitted their blood samples, waiting only for their daughter's sample to enable a swift comparison.
Supported by her daughter, Zhu Xuefeng submitted her blood sample, and to their surprise, a successful match was confirmed in just over ten days.
A decades-long story of牵挂 has now reached a圆满落幕. May all separated families find their way back to each other.
