Data collected over the past 24 hours from the "Liquor Price Insider" shows that on September 5th, the average retail prices of 11 major Chinese baijiu products saw six rises, three falls, and two unchanged, with advancing products holding a clear advantage and posting notably larger gains.
On the winning side, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd.'s classic Puwu Eighth Generation surged 7 yuan to 814 yuan, rebounding strongly after a slight dip the previous day. Luzhou Laojiao's Guojiao 1573 also jumped 7 yuan to 889 yuan, ending a two-day losing streak and again approaching the 890 yuan mark. Yanghe's Dream of the Blue M6+ climbed 7 yuan to 621 yuan, marking a steady rise for six consecutive days. Gujing Gongjiu's Gu 20 advanced 7 yuan to 548 yuan, quickly recovering from the prior day's sharp correction. Xijiu's Junpin rose 2 yuan to 645 yuan, resuming its uptrend after a one-day pause and reaching a monthly high. Qinghua Lang increased 6 yuan to 695 yuan, with a two-day winning streak approaching the 700 yuan threshold.
On the declining side, Feitian Moutai slipped 2 yuan to 1,796 yuan, undergoing a technical pullback after two days of significant gains. Premium Moutai fell 2 yuan to 2,460 yuan, retreating after a 10-yuan jump the day before. Shuijingfang's Jiannanchun dropped 1 yuan to 406 yuan, easing slightly from elevated levels.
Among the unchanged, Wuliangye's 1618 held steady at 831 yuan, consolidating after crossing the 830 yuan level. Qinghua Fen 20 remained flat at 394 yuan, stabilizing after the previous day's decline.
The combined retail price of all 11 products rose notably today, with multiple sub-premium products rebounding simultaneously. High-end liquor showed mixed movements internally, but overall market repair momentum strengthened. If one bottle of each of the 11 products were packaged and sold together, the total price would be 10,099 yuan today, up 31 yuan from yesterday, setting a new 20-day high. The aggregate price has now risen for seven consecutive sessions since breaking above the 10,000 yuan mark on August 29, further solidifying this key level.
The "Liquor Price Insider" daily data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide, including designated dealers, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data reflects actual transaction retail prices over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide an objective, scientific, and fully traceable reference for the market prices of major baijiu products.
With the official i-Moutai platform selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (raised to 1,539 yuan on March 31 and further to 1,639 yuan on July 18), and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle since January 9 (raised to 2,359 yuan on May 16), this new channel's magnetic influence on the average retail prices of both products is gradually emerging. The daily prices published by the "Liquor Price Insider" follow a transaction volume-weighted calculation rule, incorporating quantifiable prices from this channel into the terminal retail price calculations for both products.
In other significant baijiu industry news, tax authorities in Shaanxi, Hunan, and Jiangsu provinces have recently partnered with the China Article Numbering Center to launch a "one product, one code" management pilot for baijiu. This initiative covers all baijiu producers involved in the verification and management of minimum taxable prices for baijiu consumption tax. According to the announcement, pilot companies must complete coding for all currently produced and sold baijiu products by September 30, using either commodity barcodes or commodity and service tax classification codes, implementing "one product, one code" management. From October 1, newly produced baijiu products with new brands, specifications, or models must also complete coding as required. Additionally, pilot companies and their affiliated sales units must use corresponding "one product, one code" information when selling baijiu products, issuing fully digital electronic invoices tagged as "baijiu."
Tax authorities in multiple regions stated that this pilot aims to further enhance the service and management level of baijiu consumption tax, while optimizing the invoice issuance and information management processes for baijiu products.
