First Batch of Computing Power ETFs on the Horizon as China Asset Management Files for ChiNext Product

Deep News08-10

The China Securities Regulatory Commission website shows that China Asset Management has submitted a product registration application for a ChiNext computing power ETF, which has been "acknowledged as received materials," marking the first wave of computing power ETFs on the way.

The ChiNext Computing Infrastructure Index (970083) is positioned as a standard industry-themed index, selecting stocks listed on the ChiNext board that are involved in computing, networking, storage, operations, and other computing infrastructure-related areas. It focuses on upstream segments of the computing power chain, such as chips, storage, and servers. With the evolution of artificial intelligence models and the surge in demand for AI applications, computing infrastructure, as the foundational support of the AI industry chain, is expected to see rapid market expansion.

The top three heavy industries in the ChiNext computing power index are communication equipment (26%), electronic terminals and components (18%), and data center III (14%). Compared to the ChiNext artificial intelligence and dual-creation AI indices, the ChiNext computing power index has a higher proportion of hardware industries like electronic terminals, data centers, information technology services, and electronic components, while excluding software, media, and other sectors. A MACD golden cross signal has formed, and these stocks are showing strong upward momentum!
