Qingta Subdistrict's Handicrafts by Disabled Artisans Now Available on JD.com Platform

Deep News12-09

At the vocational rehabilitation center in Qingta Subdistrict, time flows quietly through fingertips, transforming into stars on mother-of-pearl brooches and blooming flowers in quilled paper artworks. These exquisite handicrafts are not just a fusion of materials and craftsmanship but also a dialogue between hearts and dreams. Recently, these pieces carrying warmth and hope have been officially listed on JD.com's "Love Cube Disability Support Flagship Store."

The creativity and talent of disabled individuals from Qingta Subdistrict now reach nationwide through the internet, helping them increase income and realize self-worth. This initiative marks a new dual-track model for disability services in Qingta—"meticulous offline cultivation and expansive online blossoming."

The "Love Cube" platform, jointly established by the Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation and JD.com, is China's first online platform dedicated to vocational rehabilitation products for disabled individuals. Currently, the first batch of handicrafts—mother-of-pearl brooches and quilled paper pendants—crafted by Qingta's disabled artisans are now available. Each polished brooch and meticulously rolled quilled artwork reflects countless hours of patient practice and persistent pursuit of beauty. These pieces serve as windows and calling cards for disabled individuals to integrate into society and gain recognition, with more new products to follow.

Qingta Subdistrict provides multi-dimensional support for disabled individuals. Previously, the subdistrict set up a "Charity Sale" counter at Cuihui Mall's Dacheng Road branch through its Warm Home initiative, forming an initial offline sales framework combining "rehabilitation institutions +爱心商场 + community support." With the launch of JD.com's online flagship store, disabled artisans now have a broader platform to showcase and sell their work. The synergy between online and offline channels amplifies societal care and support.

Moving forward, Qingta Subdistrict will use this JD.com collaboration as a springboard to explore new "internet + disability support" approaches, gathering more social goodwill to highlight disabled individuals' talents and help them achieve value through their craft.
