According to a report released by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (中国建筑), the company experienced a total contract value of 3,293.6 billion yuan during the first nine months of 2025, indicating a year-on-year growth of 1.4%. Among this total, the construction segment accounted for 3,038.3 billion yuan, reflecting a 1.7% increase from the previous year.
In detail, the new contract value for residential construction reached 2,014.6 billion yuan, up by 0.7% year-on-year; infrastructure contracts amounted to 1,014.4 billion yuan, rising by 3.9%; while the surveying and design sector recorded a new contract value of 9.2 billion yuan, down 7.4%.
Regional distribution shows that domestic contract signings reached 2,886.8 billion yuan, growing by 2.0%, while overseas contracts totaled 151.5 billion yuan, a decline of 4.4%.
In terms of physical metrics, the construction area for residential buildings was 1,570.51 million square meters, down 1.5% year-on-year; the newly started residential construction area was 194.54 million square meters, a decrease of 7.9%; and the completed residential area was 141.91 million square meters, which is a 5.6% increase year-on-year.
Within its real estate segment, China State Construction reported contract sales of 255.3 billion yuan from January to September 2025, representing a 2.0% decline compared to the same period last year; the contracted sales area was 9.52 million square meters, up by 0.7%. At the end of the period, the company maintained land reserves of 7,497 million square meters, having acquired 695 million square meters of new land reserves.
