The 2025 Sichuan Provincial Youth Culture & Arts Exhibition, themed "Growing Up with the Motherland," officially commenced on December 6-7 at Sichuan Tourism University. This year's event, integrating education on national achievements, attracted over 455,300 young participants from across the province.
The visual arts segment featured calligraphy and painting, with more than 1,500 youths from 21 cities and prefectures gathering in Longquanyi District. Participants showcased their talents through on-site creations, using traditional brushwork and modern themes. Calligraphy works included hard-tip and brush styles, drawing inspiration from classical Chinese literature and revolutionary texts, while paintings highlighted achievements in modernization, urban-rural development, and industrial progress.
Adopting a hybrid "online evaluation + offline exhibition" model, nearly 7,000 contestants advanced to the provincial round. Subsequent stages will cover performing arts and sci-tech innovation categories, including music, dance, programming, robotics, and drones.
Since its 2018 launch, the "New Era · Shu Youth" exhibition has engaged 2.26 million participants over eight editions. This year introduced a multi-city format linking Chengdu, Leshan, and Ziyang, expanding access to high-quality resources and promoting regional synergy in youth education.
