China's Ministry of Commerce has announced the addition of 14 European Union entities to its export control list, citing national security and non-proliferation obligations.
The decision, made under the Export Control Law and the Regulations on the Export Control of Dual-Use Items, takes immediate effect. Exporters are now prohibited from supplying dual-use items to these entities, and any ongoing related activities must be halted immediately. Both domestic and foreign organizations and individuals are also banned from transferring or providing such items—originally produced in China—to the listed entities.
In exceptional cases where an export is deemed necessary, the exporter must submit a formal application to the Ministry of Commerce for approval. The full list of 14 entities includes Italian firms Lafert S.p.A. and Garnet S.r.l., German companies Sindlhauser Materials GmbH and Rheinmetall AG, as well as Antraco Chemie-Handelsgesellschaft mbH. French entities InPACT S.A., III-V LAB, and Cavok UAS are also named, along with Poland's Vigo Photonics S.A. and Politechnika Wroclawska. The list further includes the Netherlands' IHC Merwede Holding B.V., Czech Republic's TATRA TRUCKS a.s., Bulgaria's Opticoelectron Group, and Lithuania's Ekspla UAB.
The move underscores Beijing's tightening control over sensitive technologies and materials amid ongoing geopolitical tensions with the West.
