In order to foster the innovative development and regulated application of generative artificial intelligence services, cybersecurity and information departments, in conjunction with relevant authorities, have continued to carry out the filing process for such services in accordance with the requirements of the Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services. Between May and June 2026, an additional 120 generative AI services completed their filing with the Cyberspace Administration of China. For generative AI applications or features that directly utilize the capabilities of already-filed models via API interfaces or other methods, local cyberspace administrations are responsible for conducting registration procedures, with 68 new additions completing registration in this period.
As of June 30, a cumulative total of 988 generative AI services have completed the filing process, and 598 generative AI applications or features have completed registration. The relevant information is hereby announced. Providers of generative AI services that possess public opinion attributes or social mobilization capabilities can fulfill the filing or registration procedures through their local cyberspace administration departments.
Generative AI applications or features that are already operational must publicly disclose, in a prominent location or on the product details page, the status of the generative AI services they utilize that have been filed or registered. This disclosure should specify the model name and the filing number or launch identification number.
