Exclusive information has been obtained regarding a recent series of personnel changes within Xiaomi's China division, impacting several key departments including automotive sales and service, sales operations, e-commerce, and new retail.

The appointments include Fan Jialin as the acting general manager of the sales operations department under the automotive sales and service unit, reporting to Xia Zhiguo, the head of that unit. Fan, an early employee of Xiaomi, was previously appointed as deputy general manager of the automaker's sales operations in September 2025.

Chen Munan has been appointed as the general manager of the Sales Operations Department I, reporting to Wang Xiaoyan, the group's senior vice president and president of the China region. Chen previously served as the general manager of Xiaomi's China e-commerce department, overseeing channel management, marketing strategy, and user growth for the company's online sales in China.

Zhang Jian, the general manager of the New Retail Department, will additionally take on the role of general manager for Xiaomi Home stores. The former head of Xiaomi Home, Chen Kai, will now assume the position of general manager for the e-commerce department, also reporting to Wang Xiaoyan.

This restructuring marks a shift from the previous major adjustment in December 2025, where Wang Xiaoyan himself took on the concurrent role of general manager for Sales Operations Department I, a move widely seen as a hands-on approach to boost performance. In the latest changes, he has relinquished this additional responsibility.

Furthermore, the leadership of Xiaomi Home, a crucial component of the company's new retail strategy, has seen multiple adjustments. In 2025, Wang Xiaoyan briefly held the position concurrently before appointing Chen Kai, then the head of the Yunnan branch, to the role. The latest change sees Zhang Jian, head of the New Retail Department, taking on the dual responsibility.
