SaaS concept stocks led the gains in the Hong Kong market. At the time of writing, Synagistics Holdings (02562) was up 10.8% at HKD 1.95; Kingdee International (00268) rose 5.04% to HKD 13.95; Mobvista (01860) increased by 4.71% to HKD 15.99; and Chinasoft International (00354) climbed 3.62% to HKD 5.15. The movement follows news that on December 30, Meta officially announced it would acquire the developer of the AI agent product Manus for "billions of dollars." In December, Manus previously disclosed that its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) had surpassed $100 million, making it the fastest-growing startup globally to reach a $100 million ARR from scratch. Soochow Securities pointed out that Meta's multi-billion dollar purchase effectively revalues Agents, suggesting market capital is more likely to concentrate on targets with real-world applications, deliverable products, and sustainable subscription revenue. Northeast Securities released a research report stating that attention should be paid to the paradigm shift from traditional SaaS towards Agentization. Vertical software giants that control core industry data assets (such as CRM, legal software, and industrial management systems) are reconstructing workflows through Agents. This transformation elevates AI from a peripheral plugin to a fundamental productivity engine at the core, significantly enhancing research, development, and operational efficiency, and is poised to capture the greatest benefits following the build-out of computing infrastructure.
