UK Set to Boost Defence Spending by a Minimum of £1 Billion

Deep News06-26

According to a report citing informed sources, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is poised to increase defence expenditure by at least £1 billion above previously planned levels.

The United Kingdom is scheduled to unveil its defence investment strategy on Tuesday.

Sources indicate that total defence spending is projected to rise by approximately £14.5 to £15 billion over the coming four-year period; the plan is expected to encompass increased investment in drones and other automated systems.

John Healey resigned from his post as Defence Secretary earlier this month, citing his belief that the government's planned spending on defence was insufficient.
