Chow Sang Sang Reports 3% Q3 RSV Growth Amid Resilient Gold Demand; Net Store Count Falls to 755

Bulletin Express10-16

Chow Sang Sang Holdings International Limited released unaudited key operational figures for the three months ended 30 September 2026, indicating modest revenue expansion but continued network optimisation.

Group Performance The Group’s retail sales value (RSV) grew 3% year on year in the third quarter, supported by sustained appetite for gold jewellery. Same-store sales growth (SSSG) reached 4% in the Chinese mainland and 7% in Hong Kong and Macau, while Taiwan also delivered a positive contribution.

Chinese Mainland Consumer sentiment remained cautious amid macro-economic uncertainty and volatile gold prices, yet demand for gold jewellery held firm. Shoppers favoured calculated-price gold products, and signature lines such as “Cultural Blessings” and “Noir,” alongside fixed-price collections “YUYU” and “Charme,” sustained sales momentum. Premium stores in key shopping destinations outperformed, although online RSV dipped slightly versus a strong prior-year base.

Hong Kong and Macau Both markets posted RSV growth, with Macau exhibiting particularly strong momentum. Broad-based customer demand underpinned the regional uplift, and the Group added a third store at The Venetian Macau to capture tourism-led traffic.

Store Network Rationalisation Between 30 June and 30 September 2026 the Group opened eight outlets and closed 46, resulting in a net reduction of 38 stores and bringing the total count to 755. • Chinese mainland: net reduction of 39 jewellery stores to 638, led by 30 closures of Chow Sang Sang branded outlets and 14 closures of MINTYGREEN. • Hong Kong: stable at 54 jewellery stores. • Macau: expanded to eight jewellery stores with one new opening. • Taiwan: first Chow Sang Sang boutique debuted at Regent Galleria, lifting the territory’s network to 39 jewellery stores. • Watch retail network decreased by one to 16 stores.

Operational Initiatives The Group prioritised enhancing store productivity and customer experience, completing image upgrades at Shanghai iAPM and Hangzhou MixC and introducing exclusive collectible pieces at the new Taipei boutique.
