Li Xiaojia Calls Joint-Stock System Finance's "Newton's First Law" and Humanity's Earliest Great Economic Invention

During the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference, Li Xiaojia, founder of Drip Irrigation Connect, spoke at the "Long-Term Capital and Resilient Growth" forum, stating that all past financial foundations were built on the joint-stock system, humanity's greatest invention.

He believes that the joint-stock system ranks at the same level as Newton's First Law in the fields of finance, politics, and economics 鈥?it gathers fragmented capital, divides it into shares, pools large sums to accomplish great things, while also fully dispersing the risks of money and fully accumulating benefits, transforming tangible commercial activities into the virtual legal concept of a "company" and splitting company rights into shares.

He joked that if anyone deserved the first Nobel Prize, it should be the inventor of this system.

The 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference will return from October 20 to 22 along the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Nobel and Turing Award winners will share on-site their insights into the future and trends of technology, and the internet-famous professor who "rescues" people from anxiety and involution, Michael McFarlane, will hold a live dialogue with Xiang Biao!
