Gree's Refrigerator Preserves Lychees for 10 Days with a Remarkable 98.4% Good Fruit Rate

Deep News06-05

At a recent event in Xi'an, a fleet of Gree Electric Appliances,Inc.Of Zhuhai (ASX: 000651) refrigerators completed a long-distance challenge, successfully transporting lychees from Zhuhai to Xi'an over six days while maintaining their freshness.

Preserving lychees is a well-known industry challenge, as they can lose color, aroma, and flavor within days. This highlights the value of Gree's "Lili Fresh" preservation technology. According to the company's CMO, this technology enables precise temperature control, humidity locking, and light-oxygen respiration, allowing lychees to stay as fresh as just-picked at home and providing solid technical support for their long-distance travel.

Data shows that when stored in a Gree lychee refrigerator, the good fruit rate can remain as high as 98.4% after ten days. The company's refrigerator not only focuses on preserving delicate fruits but also incorporates multiple industry-leading technologies to meet diverse household storage needs. Its full-space sterilization system achieves a 99% sterilization rate in fifteen minutes, while its -38°C ultra-freeze technology increases freezing speed by 58%. The 3D dual-system cooling ensures independent cycles for refrigeration and freezing compartments, preventing odor transfer.

The CMO stated that using technology to transport lychees from Zhuhai to Xi'an represents both advanced science and rigorous execution, reinforcing the message that just as Gree makes good air conditioners, it also makes good refrigerators.

Commenting on the challenge, a history professor noted the significant shift from ancient, arduous methods of transporting perishables to today's approach, where core technology like Gree's has fundamentally changed how fresh produce is preserved and moved over long distances.
