CHINA WANTIAN (01854) has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Wantian Technology, has successfully won the bid for the land use rights of a parcel situated on Dongqu Street, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. The land was offered for sale via public tender by the local resources bureau at a consideration of RMB 23.255 million.
On September 20, 2026, Wantian Technology, acting as the transferee, entered into a land transfer contract with the resources bureau, which served as the transferor, to formalize the acquisition. The purchase aligns with the group's strategic initiative to broaden its technology-related operations and digital infrastructure footprint within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The targeted location on Dongqu Street in Zhongshan is well-supported by established transportation networks and commercial amenities. The company intends to develop the site into a technology-oriented commercial venture, potentially encompassing applications tied to artificial intelligence, digital technology, and innovation, with final plans contingent on prevailing market conditions and future strategic considerations.
The board is confident that this land acquisition will unlock strategic growth avenues in the emerging tech sector, bolster the group's asset portfolio, and strengthen its long-term expansion prospects throughout the Greater Bay Area.
