Bank of China Unveils Credit Card Installment Subsidy Terms Effective 2026

Deep News04-20

Bank of China announced on April 20 that it has established the "Credit Card Installment Payment Business Financial Subsidy Agreement Terms (Effective April 20, 2026)" to further enhance its credit card installment payment services. The new terms will take effect on April 20, 2026, with the subsidy period covering January 1 to December 31, 2026. Cardholders who confirm the terms and subsequently apply for bill installments, flexible installments, or purchase installments—with the installment interest recorded within the specified period—will be eligible for the subsidy policy. The annual subsidy rate is capped at 1 percentage point and must not exceed 50% of the installment interest rate. The actual subsidy will be calculated based on the transaction amount, number of installments, and other conditions that meet the subsidy criteria. During the policy period, the cumulative subsidy limit for credit card installment payments and personal consumption loans provided by the bank is set at 3,000 yuan per cardholder.
