Domestic fuel stations are scheduled to adjust oil prices at 24:00 on August 28 (next Friday evening). This round of pricing, which spans a 10-working-day statistical cycle, has just completed four working days of tracking. Driven by continued gains in international crude prices, the current crude oil change rate has climbed to 5.84%, with an anticipated increase of 320 yuan per ton in oil prices. Based on this expected rise, petrol and diesel prices are projected to go up by 0.24 yuan to 0.29 yuan per liter.
It is important to note, however, that the pricing cycle still includes several more statistical days, leaving room for uncertainty. Should international crude oil rebound sharply in the coming sessions, the current projected increase could narrow. The final decision on whether the hike materializes and by how much will be officially confirmed by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
