Today, Xiaomi formally introduced and open-sourced its forward-looking "Whole-Home Smart AI Open-Source Solution," known as Xiaomi Miloco 2.0.

As detailed, this new platform is built upon the company's proprietary MiMo large language model. It integrates into the OpenClaw ecosystem as an Agent, delivering comprehensive enhancements in interaction methods, product features, and memory systems.

Compared to the previous Miloco 1.0 version, Miloco 2.0 represents a significant leap forward in exploring the future of smart home technology. It moves closer to achieving a vision of "active intelligence" for the home, characterized by memory, person recognition, and autonomous task execution.

A demonstration video released by Xiaomi illustrates these capabilities. For instance, if the male head of the household returns home later than his usual average time, the system can infer he "might be working overtime." In response, a Xiao AI smart speaker would proactively offer a voice message saying, "You must be tired from working overtime, please get some rest soon."

Additionally, the system can automatically recommend new interconnected scenarios upon detecting newly added Mi Home devices.

The open-source code for Miloco 2.0 is available for access on the project's GitHub repository.
