China Literature (00772) shares rose more than 5% in morning trading, up 5.44% as of press time to HK$22.88, with turnover of HK$197 million.

The short drama sector has been heating up continuously across global markets recently. Platforms are persistently ramping up investment in the AI short drama space. WeChat's "Green Bubble Short Drama" launched at the end of September and released a 2026 Q4 Green Bubble Short Drama joint distribution incentive program; short drama app PineDrama surpassed 100 million cumulative downloads approximately nine months after launch, with daily active users of around 7 million, making it one of the fastest-growing apps in the overseas short drama sector.

It is understood that China Literature is accelerating its expansion from text-based content into multi-form visual content including film and television, animation, short dramas, AI animated dramas, and derivatives. In the first half of this year, the company's short drama and AI animated drama revenue exceeded 430 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.3 times.

Guoyuan International expressed optimism about the accelerated commercialization of IP operations under the company's "content + platform + AI" model, noting that the "three driving forces" comprising short dramas, AI animated dramas, and IP derivatives have entered a phase of scaled monetization.
