The Japanese animated film "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle," introduced by MAOYAN Pictures and distributed by China Film Group, officially hit theaters on November 14. According to MAOYAN Pro data, as of 10:00 AM on November 17, the film's cumulative box office exceeded RMB 382 million, with MAOYAN Pro projecting a total of around RMB 590 million.
Citigroup recently initiated a 30-day positive catalyst watch on MAOYAN ENT. The bank expects "Demon Slayer" to become the highest-grossing Japanese animated film in China, assuming a box office of RMB 1 billion. Citigroup estimates the profit contribution could range between RMB 108 million to RMB 200 million, compared to its adjusted 2025 net profit forecast of RMB 542 million for the company.
