A German robotics company has announced a significant funding round, attracting major investment from leading U.S. technology firms.
Neura Robotics announced on Wednesday the completion of a Series C funding round that could reach up to $140 billion. The investment consortium includes American tech giants such as Tesla, Qualcomm, Amazon.com, and NVIDIA, alongside European industrial leaders like Bosch and Schaeffler, as well as the European Investment Bank.
A source familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly, indicated the company's valuation post-funding is approximately $700 billion. Neura Robotics declined to comment on the valuation.
Key Investment Details
The full disbursement of the funds is contingent upon the company achieving specific business milestones. This investment underscores a major market trend where capital is flooding into robotics startups, with the industry focus shifting towards integrating artificial intelligence into physical hardware systems to create intelligent devices that can interact in real-world environments.
Global Robotics Funding Landscape
Data from the investment database Dealroom shows that global funding in the robotics sector has reached a record $558 billion so far in 2026, nearly double last year's record. The vast majority of this capital has flowed to robotics companies in China and the United States. However, European robotics startups are also growing, including SoftBank-backed, Germany-based Agile Robotics and the UK humanoid robotics firm Humanoid.
Founder's Vision and Industry Outlook
David Reger, founder and CEO of Neura Robotics, stated in a release, "The future of AI will not be confined to screens. AI will enter the real world, moving autonomously, interacting with people, learning independently, and working alongside humans."
He added, "Many have believed that globally significant AI infrastructure companies could only emerge from Silicon Valley. We are convinced that with a long-term vision, top engineering talent, and efficient execution, the next generation of AI leaders can emerge anywhere in the world."
"With this funding, Neura officially joins the top tier of the global robotics race, competing directly with leading Chinese and American companies," Reger concluded.
