METALIGHT (02605), the parent company of the "Che Lai Le" app, has recently launched a new public transit and subway inquiry application called TransitNow, marking a significant upgrade and new phase for its international business operations. The app officially launched on both iOS and Android platforms in mid-April 2026, initially covering over 10 cities and regions including Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kuantan, and Johor Bahru. Its service scope spans multiple cities and regions across Asia and Australia, providing core services such as real-time bus and subway inquiries, travel route planning, and quick searches for lines and stations.
It is understood that TransitNow evolved and was upgraded from the company's previous Busio service. It utilizes an independently built technical architecture specifically designed for international operations. During the Busio phase, the related business leveraged the mature architecture of "Che Lai Le" to quickly validate the product model for overseas public transit scenarios. As the user base and data integration gradually took shape, the company initiated a reconstruction with an independent architecture. This allows TransitNow to evolve independently according to its specific scenario characteristics and provides foundational conditions for the R&D team to further implement an AI-native working methodology.
Following the product launch, the company plans to use core cities such as Singapore, Sydney, and Melbourne as bases to gradually expand city coverage across Asia and Australia. The project team will immerse itself in local markets to understand commuting habits and usage scenarios from the perspective of local commuters. Localized adaptations will be made in areas such as product design, content presentation, and user services.
The company stated that the development and iteration approach for TransitNow represents a concrete practice of its "AI-Native Organization" concept within an innovative business. AI-assisted development is integrated throughout the entire process, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, launch, and feedback, helping to shorten the distance between user feedback and product iteration.
Looking ahead, the company will continue to focus on its temporal intelligence technology system. It aims to extend the product experience, technical capabilities, and talent pool accumulated in the domestic market to new markets and scenarios through TransitNow and localized international teams. The company is committed to advancing localization efforts, enabling temporal data analysis and AI capabilities to serve a more diverse range of global mobility scenarios.
