The Premia FTSE Taiwan 50 ETF (03453) surged more than 4%. At the time of writing, it was up 4.01%, trading at HK$141.5, with a turnover of HK$2.7929 million. The catalyst for the move was a strong performance from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and MediaTek, which reached new highs. This strength propelled the Taiwan Weighted Index to an intraday gain of 3.38%, reaching a record high of 38,989.94 points. The index ultimately closed 3.23% higher at 38,932.4 points, also setting a new closing record. Public information indicates that the Premia FTSE Taiwan 50 ETF invests in the 50 largest companies listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, helping investors capture the growth potential of Taiwanese enterprises.
