Semiconductor Stocks Gained Premarket, With Nvidia Rising Nearly 4%

Semiconductor stocks gained in premarket trading. Nvidia rose 3.88%; TSMC rose 2.96%; Micron rose 2.67%.

Nvidia became the most valuable publicly traded company on Tuesday, in a stunning feat for the chip maker, which wasn’t even among the top 20 largest companies by market value five years ago.

Nvidia shares closed up 3.51% Tuesday at $135.58, putting its market value at $3.34 trillion, a nose ahead of Microsoft, now valued at $3.33 trillion, and Apple at $3.28 trillion.
