Smart Education Platform for Primary and Secondary Schools Surpasses Ten Million Users

Deep News05:50

The province's "artificial intelligence + education" initiative is advancing towards deep integration, with the smart education platform for primary and secondary schools exceeding ten million users. In recent years, the province has continuously expanded internet bandwidth, steadily improving the capacity and access speed of the network and education information management systems. According to a relevant official from the Provincial Department of Education, by connecting with the intelligent computing power of the Provincial Data Administration through the government extranet, the computing power supply for "artificial intelligence + government affairs" application scenarios has been effectively guaranteed. The Provincial Department of Education has also collaborated with multiple universities to compile and release standardized documents such as the "Specifications for Smart Teaching Environment Construction in Higher Education Institutions." Simultaneously, data service capabilities and data security assurance have been enhanced. The provincial education data center's data service platform continues to improve, with further optimization of data interface development functions, and cumulative data exchanges have exceeded one hundred million entries.

In the field of basic education, the coverage of high-quality digital resources continues to expand. The province has deepened the pilot application of the national smart education platform for primary and secondary schools, promoting teacher and student registration and usage, and facilitating the flow and sharing of high-quality digital education resources across regions and schools. Currently, the cumulative registered users of the provincial smart education platform for primary and secondary schools have reached 10.4932 million, with its activity and user scale consistently ranking third nationwide.

The construction of urban-rural education communities is also progressing simultaneously. The "linked schools online education" model pairs high-quality schools with weaker schools and small-scale rural schools, delivering courses and management experience through informatization methods, gradually narrowing the digital divide between urban and rural areas.

Digital means are permeating education evaluation reforms. The province organizes students to use the national student comprehensive evaluation and development platform for comprehensive quality assessments, combining process data with multiple evaluations, providing a tool to break the tendency of "score-only" orientation, and offering students richer digital records and display space for their growth. At the same time, activities such as the selection of high-quality artificial intelligence education courses continue to be carried out, mobilizing frontline teachers' enthusiasm for integrated innovation and giving rise to a number of high-quality practical cases.

In higher education, the digital reform of teaching materials and courses is advancing simultaneously. Universities are strengthening the construction of digital textbooks, and digital resource libraries are continuously enriching. In terms of curriculum system development, currently, 47 undergraduate universities in the province offer 34 types of artificial intelligence-related majors, with 307 major distribution points, covering fields such as robotics engineering, software engineering, automation, big data management and application, and computer science and technology.

The vocational education sector is also taking frequent actions. 63 higher vocational colleges offer 24 types of related majors, such as artificial intelligence technology application, Internet of Things application technology, and cloud computing technology application, with 282 major distribution points. Among them, by 2026, after adjusting and optimizing the professional structure, higher vocational colleges (including vocational undergraduate institutions) will add 14 types of artificial intelligence-related majors, with 39 new major distribution points. Additionally, digital-related competitions such as information technology application innovation, industrial digitization, multi-information intelligent recognition technology and application, and virtual simulation technology are set up in the Hebei Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition to improve the informatization level of vocational college teachers and students.

To promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education, the Provincial Department of Education supports universities in developing application scenarios and has selected Hebei University of Technology, Hebei University, Hebei Medical University, and Hebei University of Industry and Vocational Technology to conduct pilot projects. These four universities focus on robotics, biomedicine, medicine, and modern steel industry, respectively, constructing large-scale educational models that serve learning assistance, teaching assistance, and research assistance. These vertical domain large models, by integrating massive industry data and teaching resources, provide services such as intelligent lesson preparation, personalized learning, and decision support for teachers, students, and administrators.
