Deep News06-03

QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK)

QuickLogic Corporation has announced that it will be added to the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000 indexes as part of the 2026 annual reconstitution of the Russell US Indexes. The changes will become effective at the opening of the US market on June 29.

Index Inclusion Methodology

The annual reconstitution of the Russell indexes uses April 30 as the reference date and includes the top 4,000 US stocks ranked by total market capitalization. Inclusion in the broad Russell 3000 Index results in automatic eligibility for the small-cap Russell 2000 Index and the corresponding growth and value style indexes. Starting in 2026, eligibility for the Russell US Indexes will be reviewed on a semi-annual basis.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the inclusion, QuickLogic's President and CEO, Brian Faith, stated, "Inclusion in the Russell indexes is a significant milestone that reflects the growing investor recognition of QuickLogic's unique positioning in the eFPGA IP and strategic radiation-tolerant FPGA markets. We welcome the increased visibility that comes with inclusion in these indexes and will continue to execute our strategy to drive sustainable growth and shareholder value."

Company Overview and Performance

QuickLogic is a fabless semiconductor company focused on embedded FPGA hard core IP, strategic radiation-tolerant and antifuse FPGAs, and hardened programmable logic solutions for the aerospace and defense, industrial, compute, and consumer markets. The company reported first-quarter revenue of $5.1 million, representing approximately 17% year-over-year growth, supported by continued shipments of new products and the signing of several key contracts.

Significance of the Indexes

The Russell indexes are widely used as benchmarks for index funds and active investment strategies. Data shows that as of the end of June 2025, approximately $12.2 trillion in assets tracked the Russell US Indexes. FTSE Russell, the index provider, indicated that the shift to a semi-annual reconstitution frequency this year is designed to ensure the indexes continue to accurately reflect market dynamics.
