Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. announced on July 27 that it has dismissed Yue Song from his role as Deputy General Manager, effective immediately following board approval, in accordance with a directive from the Yibin municipal government. Yue Song had been scheduled to serve until the end of the company's seventh board term.
Born in October 1972, Yue Song is a university graduate and senior liquor brewing technician. He joined the Wuliangye distillery in December 1995 and held various roles including Deputy Director of the company office, Deputy Director of the board office, Secretary of the Party branch, and Party branch secretary and union chair for the 505 and 523 brewing workshops. He also served as General Manager of Sichuan Wuliangye Cultural Tourism Company, Party branch secretary and Chairman of Yibin Changjiangyuan Wine Industry Co., Ltd., and Chief Engineer of Sichuan Yibin Wuliangye Group Co., Ltd. Prior to his dismissal, he was the company's Deputy General Manager and Safety Director.
Yue Song's most recent public appearance was at the company's mid-month party-building event, where he shared insights on management cognition, corporate development, problem-solving, and responsibility, reviewing Wuliangye's history of adhering to quality and craftsmanship.
The company stated that Yue Song will no longer hold any positions at Wuliangye or its subsidiaries after the dismissal. As of the announcement date, he holds 9,819 shares in the company, which will be managed in accordance with the China Securities Regulatory Commission and Shenzhen Stock Exchange share change regulations. He has no outstanding commitments. The dismissal is not expected to impact the company's normal operations.
