On the afternoon of December 1, Mr. Li, a resident of Shenzhen, received a parcel delivered by JD LOGISTICS, marking the 1800th billion express package in China for 2025 and setting a new record for the country's courier industry.
The parcel was produced and fulfilled using cutting-edge logistics technology. After Mr. Li placed the order, the item was swiftly sorted and dispatched from JD LOGISTICS' Shenzhen Smart Wolf Warehouse for small and medium-sized goods and its intelligent sorting center. The final leg of delivery was handled by JD LOGISTICS' autonomous "Lone Wolf" vehicles, which transported the package under the optimized route planning of JD's Super Brain 2.0 system before a courier completed the last-mile delivery.
At the Shenzhen Smart Wolf Warehouse, where the milestone parcel originated, nearly 200 Smart Wolf handling robots, flying ladder robots, high-density shelving, customized containers, and automated workstations form a massive "Smart Wolf Goods-to-Person System." This setup enables automation in storage, handling, and sorting, significantly boosting operational efficiency. The deployment of advanced logistics equipment like the "Smart Wolf" has also created new frontline roles at JD LOGISTICS, such as "smart warehouse maintenance technicians," "autonomous vehicle operators," and "drone pilots." According to reports, the 1800th billion parcel was processed—from order receipt to outbound dispatch—in as little as 15 minutes.
Earlier, JD LOGISTICS announced plans to acquire 3 million robots, 1 million unmanned vehicles, and 100,000 drones over the next five years, deploying them across end-to-end logistics and supply chain scenarios to further solidify its technological leadership in smart logistics.
