On September 30, Shanghai International Airport Co.,Ltd. (Shanghai Airport) joined forces with the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, airport police, and 10 participating construction units to hold the "Singing Praises to the Motherland · Resounding Brilliance" — "Luqiao Cup" Pudong Airport Phase IV Expansion Project Builders' Town Singing Competition and Autumn Market event.
The event brought festive greetings and humanistic care to the thousands of builders who remain dedicated to the front lines of the Pudong Airport Phase IV Expansion Project, effectively enhancing their sense of happiness and fulfillment.
At the singing competition, more than ten builder singers from various participating units took turns on stage, using sincere and down-to-earth voices to bless the motherland and showcase the striving posture of builders in the new era who pursue their dreams and take practical responsibility.
The autumn market was equally lively. Medical experts from the departments of cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and orthopedics at the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine conducted on-site consultations and health inquiries tailored to the builders' daily work characteristics, common ailments, and actual needs, delivering quality and convenient medical services precisely to the construction site front line.
In addition, booths offering on-site haircuts and anti-fraud consultations were also very popular. A series of convenient services allowed builders to relax and unwind after work and feel the warmth of being remembered.
This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day were close together with a long holiday period. On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Shanghai Airport also teamed up with the Publicity Department of the Pudong New Area District Committee to present a wonderful consolation performance for the builders, including Sichuan opera face-changing, acrobatics, tai chi, and other intangible cultural heritage specialty programs, as well as stage performances such as singing, dancing, and magic.
A builder from Sichuan said with a smile, "Although I can't go home for the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays this year, celebrating together with everyone is just as lively."
Food safety presentations were also held on site, with comrades from Pudong Airport Customs and airport police introducing relevant precautions to everyone, effectively enhancing their awareness of food safety prevention and self-protection capabilities.
Shanghai International Airport Co.,Ltd. has actively explored innovative practices in grassroots governance led by Party building. In July 2023 and August of this year, it successively established the "Airport Builders' Town" for the terminal area project and the airfield area project, creating a warm home for builders, better inspiring their enthusiasm to devote themselves to the task of sprinting toward the completion of the Pudong Airport Phase IV Project, and enabling the "City of the People" to better benefit the broad masses of the people.
