Beijing's Fengtai District Unveils 36 Pilot Application Scenarios to Propel Aerospace Industry Growth

Deep News06-08 09:20

Beijing's Fengtai District has announced a collection of 36 demonstration application scenarios across eight major categories, with a total investment of approximately 46 billion yuan. These initiatives comprehensively cover areas such as commercial aerospace, satellite remote sensing, satellite communications, and low-altitude technologies. The move is designed to precisely match technologies with suitable application scenarios and connect those scenarios to market opportunities. This strategy aims to foster collaborative breakthroughs in key technologies and facilitate the validation and implementation of new technologies and products, thereby accelerating the cultivation of advanced productive forces within the aerospace sector.

Huaxi Securities recently noted in a report that SpaceX is the current global leader in commercial aerospace and could become one of the most significant initial public offering (IPO) projects in the near term, with its valuation having surged approximately 30,000-fold. The company's Falcon 9 rocket has achieved routine launches, which the report interprets as a sign that the industry is formally entering the initial phase of a recovery period. Concurrently, China's domestic commercial aerospace sector is advancing rapidly to catch up with global developments, with domestic satellite constellation deployment and the validation of new satellite models both accelerating.

Huaxi Securities detailed specific recent launches: on May 31st, a Long March 2D rocket launched a satellite internet technology test satellite; on June 1st, the first flight of the Long March 12B Y1 was successful, placing the Qianfan Jigu 08 satellite group into its intended orbit; on June 4th and 5th, the Long March 6A and Long March 8 rockets respectively completed launches for the Qianfan Jigu 11 and 12 satellite groups. This series of consecutive constellation deployment missions indicates that the demand for batch satellite production and launches is being realized at a faster pace.

The Government Work Report released in March 2026 highlighted the goal of fostering emerging pillar industries including aerospace and explicitly called for the accelerated development of satellite internet. Based on this, Huaxi Securities believes that commercial aerospace is being elevated from a supplementary role to a vital component of the national aerospace system.
