Following Xiang Championship Victory, Yongzhou's Outbound Agricultural Product Shipments Surge 35% Year-on-Year

Deep News01-23

"Here is Yongzhou, we are the champions!" After winning the inaugural Xiang Championship, the city of Yongzhou has not only gained glory on the field but has also made its local flavors famous nationwide. Data from the digital freight platform Yunmanman reveals that following the championship win, the volume of agricultural product shipments dispatched from Yongzhou to other parts of China increased by 35% compared to the same period last year. Among the core categories, the performance of Daozhou navel oranges was particularly outstanding, with shipments to Jiangsu Province skyrocketing by 250%. An intercity interaction born from a passion for football is translating into tangible results that benefit local farmers.

The championship victory served as an unexpected "traffic gateway," forging a strong bond between Yongzhou and Jiangsu, located 1,000 kilometers away. Blue support posters from Jiangsu's thirteen cities adorned the streets of Yongzhou, conveying a sense of intercity camaraderie. In return, Yongzhou's fruit growers included handwritten notes saying "Thank you for understanding our passion" with shipments of local specialties like Daozhou navel oranges, Jiangyong pomelos, and Taochuan pressed ducks sent to Jiangsu, adding a touch of everyday warmth to this "river-lake friendship." Rooted in a shared love for football and sparked by playful online banter between the cities, the mutual support between Jiangsu and Yongzhou has concretely manifested in purchasing power. Yunmanman's big data indicates that fruit categories from Yongzhou are the most popular among Jiangsu residents. In January alone, fruit shipments destined for Jiangsu reached 120% of the volume from the same period last year, with the standout navel oranges achieving a leap of 250% growth.

As a key player in the digital freight sector, Yunmanman is providing substantial support to aid agriculture. Beyond actively coordinating platform vehicles through big data to enhance transport capacity guarantees for the Yongzhou region, the Yunmanman platform has simultaneously launched special agricultural aid subsidies for both drivers and shippers. Effective immediately, Yunmanman drivers who complete a shipment carrying Yongzhou fruit will receive a special public welfare subsidy of 20 yuan per order. Local Yongzhou fruit farmers and distributors can also enjoy an equivalent subsidy when shipping fruit through the platform. This dual subsidy not only increases drivers' income but also directly reduces the transportation costs for fruit growers, allowing Yongzhou's delicious, high-quality fruits to reach markets beyond southern Hunan and across the country with greater competitiveness.

In addition to financial support, Yunmanman, in collaboration with the Yongzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, has introduced innovative methods to support farmers. A number of Yunmanman trucks adorned with promotional decals for Yongzhou's agricultural products will become "mobile support vehicles" traveling through the streets of Jiangsu's thirteen cities. These trucks, constantly on the move across intercity transport routes, not only shoulder the important task of delivering fruit but also act as mobile advertising platforms. They help familiarize more consumers with Yongzhou's agricultural products as they traverse city streets, providing an additional boost to sales growth.
