Boyaa Interactive International Limited released a profit alert indicating a sharp earnings reversal for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Management attributes the downturn primarily to a fair-value decline in the Group’s digital assets, driven by falling Bitcoin prices in the first half of the year.
For H1 2026, the company expects: • Loss attributable to owners: approximately HK$790 million–HK$800 million • Prior-year comparative (H1 2025): profit attributable to owners of about HK$226 million
Excluding non-operating, one-off factors—mainly changes in the fair value of digital assets and other financial assets—Boyaa Interactive forecasts a 120%–125% year-on-year increase in underlying profit attributable to owners, supported by higher revenue from its online gaming operations.
The fair-value adjustment for digital assets is calculated using cryptocurrency market prices as at 30 June 2026; management cautions that real-time price volatility could alter the final impact. The unaudited interim results are slated for release by end-August 2026 and remain subject to audit review and board approval.
Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
