Long-VIX ETFs Jump as Trump Signals Tougher Strikes on Iran; Globalstar Rallies on Amazon Buyout Report

Wall Street's fear gauge, the CBOE VIX index, spiked 1.8 points to 26.35. as U.S. President Donald Trump signaled more aggressive attacks on Iran, dampening expectations for an ‌end to the month-long war. Long-VIX ETFs jumped in premarket trading.

2x Long VIX Futures ETF rose 9%; ProShares Ultra VIX Short-Term Futures ETF rose 6%; ProShares VIX Short-Term Futures ETF rose 5%; iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN rose 4%.

Globalstar shares surged 11.6% in premarket trading after a Financial Times report that Amazon.com Inc. is in talks to acquire the satellite provider. While Iridium rose 4.8% on report of Globalstar takeover talks.
