As one of the core projects of Beijing CBD and the Tonghui River area, the street is built around the core features of blending interior and exterior scenery, clustering distinctive first stores, and deeply integrating culture with commerce. It fills gaps in the regional commercial landscape and creates a new immersive consumption space that combines dining, art exhibitions, and leisure socializing.

The Laihui Club Commercial Street is built along the water, with 16 standalone buildings each featuring distinctive characteristics such as pointed roofs and arched windows, with boldly colored and vibrant graffiti on the walls, resembling a town from a fairy tale. Upon entering the Laihui Club Commercial Street, one is greeted by a rich and lively atmosphere, offering an immersive leisure experience.

The street focuses on Chinese specialty cuisine, highlighting regional flavors. Laihui Club Commercial Street will officially commence operations on October 29, 2026, creating new consumption scenarios through cultural, commercial, and artistic activities. While unleashing regional consumption vitality, it will deliver outstanding results in local livelihood and industrial development.

Liu Ning, Deputy Director of the Nanmofang Regional Office, introduced that Laihui Club Commercial Street is located on the banks of the Tonghui River and serves as an important vehicle for Nanmofang Township to promote urban consumption upgrading. The street closely follows the "Five Suitable Chaoyang" development direction, leverages Chaoyang's opening-up advantages, blends international atmosphere with local vibrancy, strengthens business vitality, consolidates livability and convenience, and creates a tourism-friendly landmark.

It gathers trendy first stores and late-night eateries, implements a high-quality 15-minute convenience circle, and links with all-domain consumption resources such as Happy Valley and Cool Car Town, using consumption prosperity to feed back into industrial clustering and helping Nanmofang Township build a new benchmark for science-industry integration and industry-city consumption in southeast Chaoyang.

Li Liyun, the person in charge of the management team, told reporters that Laihui Club Commercial Street mainly serves surrounding residents and business professionals, focusing on owner-operated shops. It has currently introduced hotpot, Japanese cuisine, dining bars, pet stores, star cards, and lifestyle support services. In the earlier phase, through renewal and renovation of existing spaces, Laihui Club Commercial Street implemented multiple commercial supporting facilities, hosted a variety of cultural, commercial, tourism, and sports activities, and collaborated with several key merchants, showcasing Chaoyang's vibrant atmosphere.

As the main carrier and major consumption district of Beijing's international consumption center city, Laihui Club Commercial Street not only makes the garden city experience of seeing greenery from windows and strolling into parks within reach, but also leads new supply with new demand and creates new demand with new supply, promoting deep integration of benefiting livelihoods and boosting consumption. It improves the all-category, all-population, all-time consumption system, accelerates the creation of distinctive "late-night canteen" streets and "Night Beijing" check-in spots, builds "small but beautiful" community commerce, develops a "micro-vacation" consumption ecosystem, and constructs a well-structured commercial layout.

On the occasion of official opening, Laihui Club Commercial Street will also vigorously develop new consumption, new models, and new services, optimize consumption structure, amplify the driving effects of digital, guochao, emotional, and self-pleasing consumption, encourage the landing of first stores, first releases, first exhibitions, and first shows, expand the breadth and depth of integrated consumption, unleash cross-sector effects, and allow more quality enterprises to release operational vitality.

First-Store Matrix Enriches Consumer Formats

Reporters observed that the exterior of Laihui Club Commercial Street features exotic flavors. Meanwhile, regional first stores such as Jiefang 1906 Century-Old Shandong Cuisine, Zhidian Youjia Guizhou Hotpot, Niufang Ningguta Qiqihar BBQ, Laihuixuan Mongolian Cuisine, and Fengjizhuang Cantonese Restaurant meet diverse formal dining needs. The national first store Zhidian Youjia Guizhou Hotpot, leveraging the spacious outdoor area at its entrance, creates a relaxed and laid-back light social scene and promotes a "eat by mood" philosophy, offering consumers flexible and随心 choices.

Specialty coffee, distinctive cuisine, and bar night meals are interspersed throughout the alleys, achieving all-time consumption coverage from morning replenishment and midday set meals to late-night gatherings. "Located in the core area of Beijing CBD and the Tonghui River, Laihui Club Commercial Street gathers a large number of residents and science, innovation, and finance professionals who prefer healthy, refined, and stylish consumption scenes. This is also the core reason for our location choice," said Zhao Fanghui, owner of Jiefang 1906 Century-Old Shandong Cuisine. He told reporters that the quality business environment and mature customer base of Laihui Club Commercial Street provide confidence for brand innovation and operation.

"The entire street plans nearly thirty stores, with culture and dining as the core formats," introduced Zhang Fengxia, Deputy General Manager of the operator of Beijing National Advertising Industrial Park. As of now, the street has gathered 9 national and regional first stores. Leveraging the scarcity of the first-store economy to fill the supply gap of small-scale commerce, it covers all customer groups including international guests, surrounding office workers, and residents, forming a comprehensive and multi-layered cultural and dining consumption matrix.

Art and Books Brighten the Street's Character

Laihui Club Commercial Street also brings art exhibitions and book culture into commercial alleys, vividly telling Chinese cultural stories to visitors from home and abroad, making shopping more than consumption but an immersive cultural experience. Relying on the national cultural digitization strategy and supported by metaverse and blockchain technologies, the digital cultural industry is developing at the right time, and new formats and forms are emerging. Lingjing People's Art Museum continuously explores new forms of digital art presentation, aiming to provide a digital platform for contemporary artists and outstanding artworks, and to offer services for digital confirmation, digital publishing, digital transformation, and digital authentication (blockchain) of artworks.

Staff at the People's Art Museum introduced that the choice of the Chinese-flavored name "Lingjing," translated by Academician Qian Xuesen, means that on the basis of presenting art forms online and offline, Lingjing People's Art Museum will step into "virtual space" to explore new modes of art presentation. Reporters observed that Lingjing People's Art Museum is exhibiting "Encounter: A Classic Inherited for a Thousand Years — Reproduction Exhibition of Chinese Masterpieces," which maximizes the preservation of the street's unique cultural texture and artistic value.

In addition to dynamic exhibitions, the bronze sculptures "Ma Dao Cheng Gong" and "Thinking" stand quietly in the central square of Laihui Club Commercial Street, paired with various fun themes, becoming popular photo spots for citizens. In the future, Laihui Club Commercial Street will also create immersive digital light and shadow exhibitions, allowing the bustling streets to combine ancient elegance with futuristic trends.

Project Linkage Builds a Consumption Ecosystem

Compared with traditional enclosed shopping malls, Laihui Club Commercial Street relies on an open block layout, breaking spatial barriers and connecting customer flow. The project is located at No. 12A, West Dawang Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, directly accessible from Exit B of Dawang Road Station on Metro Lines 1 and 14, making travel very convenient for surrounding residents and merchants. Laihui Club Commercial Street supports extended operating hours for shops, lengthening nighttime consumption duration and revitalizing the nighttime economy.

"To continuously gather popularity and enrich consumption scenarios, during the trial operation period, Laihui Club Commercial Street has regularly launched band performances, talk shows, and crosstalk, as well as dance performances and intangible cultural heritage showcases. It opens plaza spaces to host fan support events and small private bookings," Li Liyun introduced. Subsequently, Laihui Club Commercial Street will also link with surrounding concert resources, launch ticket stub exchanges and fan-exclusive activities, and continuously attract traffic and enrich the customer structure through regular trendy activities. Laihui Club Commercial Street breaks away from traditional commercial districts, rooted in the local characteristics of the region, and ignites regional consumption vitality with the first-store economy, immersive scenes, and distinctive themed activities.
