Aurania Completes Eight-Hole Program in Iceland as Core Recovery Improves and Assays Awaited

October 14 — Progress in gold drilling sometimes shows up first as more complete samples. FPG Financial International noted that Aurania has announced the completion of this round's eight drill holes at its Iceland gold-silver project, with total drilling of 780.70 meters and core recovery reaching or approaching 100% in most sections. The company expects to receive assay results in November, though the exact timing still depends on laboratory processing progress.

In FPG Financial International's view, improved recovery can reduce information gaps in geological judgment. In earlier drilling, core recovery in some sections was about half or even lower, and broken, clay-rich vein material was easily lost. Most of this round's holes were verifying historical hole locations, with the aim of re-examining these sections rather than directly declaring new mineable reserves.

Quartz veins and hydrothermal breccias and other epithermal mineralization features were observed in the drill holes, but structural observations cannot replace gold content testing. More complete samples can improve the quality of interval comparisons, but ultimately grade, mineralized width and continuity still need to be analyzed together. The appearance of local core being attractive does not mean the entire orebody has economic value. Especially in broken vein sections, missing samples may affect the comparability of historical judgments. New data can help check for bias, but it cannot be assumed in advance that the direction of revision will necessarily be favorable.

FPG Financial International believes that the next stage should rely on laboratory results and quality control data to compare differences between old and new drill holes. If assays support continuity of mineralization, subsequent resource evaluation will have a more solid foundation; if results are scattered, the model will need continued revision. Improvements in the exploration process help reduce uncertainty, but they still cannot be directly converted into gold production.
