Beijing Auto Group and CATL Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Battery Swap Ecosystem

On April 25, Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (BAIC Group), Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), and its subsidiary EVogo Technology Co., Ltd. (EVogo) signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement focused on battery swap services and energy ecosystem development.

Under the agreement, BAIC Group will collaborate extensively with CATL and EVogo on the "Chocolate Battery Swap" solution. Building upon the existing battery-swappable model, the Arcfox S3, the partnership will expand to include additional BAIC models such as the Arcfox T5, Arcfox S5, Arcfox T6, Arcfox S6, and other self-owned brand vehicles. This expansion aims to continuously develop a more competitive portfolio of battery-swappable vehicles for consumers. Furthermore, the three parties will jointly promote the construction of an integrated ultra-fast swap and charging energy replenishment ecosystem. The initiative seeks to provide more diverse and efficient energy solutions tailored to different mobility scenarios and user needs.

The signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by Zhang Jianyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BAIC Group, and Zeng Yuqun, Chairman and General Manager of CATL.
