Pork Wholesale Price Nationwide Drops 1.9% to 16.10 Yuan/kg on October 8

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reported that on October 8, the "Wholesale Price 200 Index for Agricultural Products" stood at 114.83, down 0.53 points from before the holiday (September 30, same below), while the "Basket of Vegetables" Product Wholesale Price Index was 114.98, down 0.60 points from before the holiday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale agricultural markets nationwide was 16.10 yuan per kilogram, down 1.9% from before the holiday; beef was 73.14 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2%; mutton was 67.77 yuan per kilogram, up 0.4%; eggs were 10.07 yuan per kilogram, down 4.3%; and white-striped chicken was 17.50 yuan per kilogram, up 1.6%.

The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.35 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5% from before the holiday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 6.57 yuan per kilogram, down 2.4%. Crucian carp was 19.50 yuan per kilogram, down 0.7%; carp was 14.15 yuan per kilogram, up 1.0%; silver carp was 10.24 yuan per kilogram, up 2.8%; and large hairtail was 42.38 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1%.

Today, among the 46 key monitored varieties at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with before the holiday were cucumber, watermelon, green beans, oyster mushrooms, and rapeseed, with gains of 8.7%, 5.8%, 3.9%, 3.8%, and 3.8% respectively; the top five price declines were green peppers, spinach, pineapple, eggs, and ginger, with drops of 6.4%, 5.8%, 5.1%, 4.3%, and 3.7% respectively.
