On the afternoon of March 6, a delegation led by Zhang Wei, Party Secretary of Changning District, visited the headquarters of Shanghai Electric. They held discussions with Wu Lei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, reaching broad consensus on deepening government-enterprise cooperation, promoting regional industrial upgrading, and supporting the construction of Shanghai's science and technology innovation center. Liu Ping, Deputy Party Secretary and District Mayor of Changning, and Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Shanghai Electric Group, were also present.
Zhang Wei stated that Changning District is fully advancing the development of "Digital Changning" and an "International Boutique Urban Area" in accordance with the directives of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and Government. The district is accelerating the establishment of a modern industrial system centered on the digital economy and the Hongqiao International Central Business District. This process urgently requires the deep involvement of globally influential high-end equipment manufacturers like Shanghai Electric. Changning District offers a favorable business environment and distinct locational advantages, and is highly willing to provide excellent business service support for Shanghai Electric's innovative development. He expressed hope that, building on existing collaboration, both sides would further expand cooperation in urban renewal, green and low-carbon initiatives, and smart city development, working together to create a new benchmark for government-enterprise partnership and contribute more significantly to Shanghai's goal of building a globally influential science and technology innovation center.
Wu Lei noted that as a central urban area of Shanghai, Changning District possesses unique advantages in technological innovation and the development of modern service industries, which align well with Shanghai Electric's industrial layout. In recent years, Shanghai Electric has achieved a series of breakthrough results by focusing on intelligent manufacturing, new energy, and environmental protection equipment. Looking ahead, Shanghai Electric will leverage its comprehensive strengths in energy equipment, industrial equipment, and industrial foundational components to continuously deepen government-enterprise cooperation with Changning District across multiple dimensions. This will involve accelerating the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, promoting the iterative upgrade of high-end equipment manufacturing technologies, and actively participating in Changning's urban renewal and industrial upgrading efforts, thereby contributing more substantially to the district's high-quality economic and social development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
Xiao Weihua, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, Zhao Yongzun, Deputy District Mayor of Changning, and other relevant officials from both sides attended the meeting.
