On November 3, it was learned from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology that the latest eighth batch of national-level specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprises has been announced, with 80 companies from Sichuan selected. The application approval rate ranked third nationwide. Currently, the total number of valid specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprises in the province has reached 604.
Specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprises are positioned in core areas of the industrial base and key links of the industrial chain. They possess outstanding innovation capabilities, master core technologies, hold high market shares in niche segments, and demonstrate excellent quality and efficiency. They are the "pacesetters" among specialized and innovative enterprises. The newly recognized batch of specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprises is mainly distributed across key industries such as electronic information, new materials, and biomedicine, deeply cultivating niche fields including integrated circuit supporting components, aerospace parts, and innovative drugs. This provides strong support for Sichuan Province to shore up weak links, strengthen advantageous areas, and fill "gaps" in the industrial chain.
For example, Chengdu Chenxian Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was successfully selected due to its innovation capabilities and technological advantages in the Micro-LED new display field. Relying on self-developed core technologies, the company was the first in the industry to light up mainland China's first TFT-based Micro-LED mass production line and achieve mass production and shipment. It has built a diversified product matrix and successively launched multiple "world's first" products, covering application scenarios such as command and dispatch, exhibition displays, home theaters, and smart wearables. It has gradually completed its product layout from large-size commercial displays to micro-displays, while continuously expanding customers including government and enterprise clients, cultural tourism, and industry integrators, accelerating product project implementation and batch delivery, and steadily advancing the industrialization of Micro-LED.
Chengdu Yuefan Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., which also received recognition, is a technology enterprise deeply engaged in robot terminal delivery. Its robot products have entered more than 60 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, serving over 65 million consumers cumulatively. Its market share in the community terminal delivery sector ranks first nationwide. A relevant person in charge of Yuefan Innovation introduced that, facing terminal delivery needs in different scenarios such as communities, apartments, and parks, the company has built a complete product matrix covering indoor and outdoor, upstairs and downstairs. The "Yuefan Lubao Pro" further achieves automatic unloading, enabling delivery directly to doorsteps.
In recent years, Sichuan has focused on solving practical difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, such as insufficient innovation investment, high digital transformation costs, inadequate matching of financing supply and demand, and limited channels for integrating into the industrial chain, striving to promote high-quality development of enterprises. For example, it has continuously optimized the business environment and built a comprehensive service system called "Enterprise Home"; focused on empowering the "15+N" key industrial chains, implemented a "1 chain leader + N supporting" docking mechanism, and promoted deep integration of small and medium-sized enterprises into the industrial chain, supply chain, and innovation chain; in response to the bottlenecks and difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises being "unwilling to transform, afraid to transform, and unable to transform," it has precisely implemented policies such as releasing "small, fast, light, and precise" digital tools to empower enterprises with digitalization for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement. At the same time, it adheres to tiered cultivation, classified policies, and precise empowerment to promote both quantity and quality improvement and iterative growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
A relevant person in charge of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Service Division of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology stated that next, they will continue to focus on four major directions: "digital intelligence diagnosis + factor empowerment," "industrial innovation + financial drive," "chain cluster layout + enterprise cultivation," and "ecological linkage + new-type services," continuously deepening the tiered cultivation of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises, and helping more specialized and innovative enterprises achieve leapfrog development.
