Gold Mining ETF Surges Over 3% as Precious Metals Rebound Overnight, Spot Gold Climbs Above $4,700

Stock News05-12

易方达黄金矿业ETF (02824) rose over 3%, reaching a gain of 3.14% at the time of writing to trade at HK$12.15, with a turnover of HK$2.942 million. On the news front, international gold prices have rebounded from recent lows, with spot gold briefly surpassing the $4,770 mark this morning. According to analysis from Huaxi Securities, the core logic driving the current gold bull market lies in the systemic decline of the U.S. dollar's international standing. A persistent and historic trend of diminishing global trust in the U.S. dollar is expected to provide long-term support for gold prices. Structural issues within U.S. GDP are prominent, and expectations for interest rate cuts make a substantial reversal unlikely, further strengthening gold's safe-haven appeal. It is reported that the E Fund Gold Mining ETF closely tracks the Solactive Global Gold Miners Select Index. This index covers 30 leading stocks across four major gold-producing regions: China, Canada, the United States, and Australia. It includes domestic giants such as Zijin Mining and Zhaojin Mining, as well as overseas quality assets like Newmont and Barrick Gold.
