Strengthening Government-Enterprise Collaboration to Promote Vocational Education Development: Nanchang Officials Visit CHINA EAST EDU

On March 25, a delegation led by Chen Yimeng, Party Secretary of Xinjian District in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, and Peng Dabing, Standing Committee Member of the District Committee, Deputy District Chief, and Party Working Committee Secretary of Xinjian Economic Development Zone, conducted an inspection and exchange visit to the Hefei vocational education campus of CHINA EAST EDU (00667.HK). The group was accompanied and received by Xu Shaobing, President of CHINA EAST EDU, Mao Chaosheng, Board Secretary, and Hua Jun, Assistant to the Chairman.

During the inspection, Secretary Chen Yimeng and the delegation visited Anhui Xinhua Senior Technical School, Anhui New East Cuisine Senior Technical School, and Anhui Wantong Technical College to gain firsthand understanding of the group's educational achievements. The distinct professional clusters, advanced training facilities, and high morale of teachers and students at the three institutions left a strong impression on the visitors. At each stop, Secretary Chen carefully listened to introductions regarding program development, talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and student employment outcomes, expressing high appreciation for CHINA EAST EDU's nearly four decades of dedication to vocational education and its significant contributions in supplying high-quality skilled professionals to society.

Following the campus tour, both parties held discussions focusing on the Jiangxi Vocational Education Industrial Park project as a key cooperation initiative. They engaged in in-depth and productive exchanges concerning investment, construction plans, implementation schedules, and future operations of the project.

Secretary Chen emphasized that the Xinjian District Committee and government attach great importance to vocational education development and will fully support CHINA EAST EDU's project initiatives in the district, providing efficient services to ensure smooth progress. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation, jointly establishing the Jiangxi Vocational Education Industrial Park as a model of school-local collaboration that injects new vitality into the high-quality development of Xinjian District and Jiangxi Province as a whole.

President Xu Shaobing extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and expressed sincere gratitude for the strong support from the district authorities. President Xu stated that the group has full confidence in its development prospects in Xinjian District and will leverage its brand influence, resources, and educational expertise to advance the project with high standards and quality. He committed to ensuring timely completion and effective operation of the project, aiming to cultivate more high-quality technical talent for Xinjian District and precisely empower local economic and social development.

The Jiangxi Vocational Education Industrial Park, a key investment project for Nanchang, is scheduled to be established in Xinjian Economic Development Zone by 2025. Covering a total area of 287 mu with planned construction area of approximately 246,000 square meters, the project has been listed among Nanchang's major key projects.

The park will serve Xinjian District while radiating influence across Jiangxi Province, planning to develop high-level vocational institutions specializing in Xinhua Internet technology, New East cooking, Wantong automotive, and Omandi fashion beauty industries. It aims to create a high-level vocational education hub integrating education, skills training, industry-education integration, and innovation entrepreneurship. Upon full completion, the campus is expected to accommodate over 12,000 students and 600 faculty members, providing strong technical talent support for regional economic and social development.
