2026 Summer Summit of China Sustainable Investment Forum to Convene in Beijing on July 10

The reshaping of the global industrial structure and the acceleration of the green transition are creating a new context where new quality productive forces are becoming a key variable driving high-quality development. With continuous technological innovation and the constant expansion of industrial boundaries, the role and value proposition of sustainable finance are also being reshaped. The core challenge for sustainable finance practice is how to more effectively integrate environmental, social, and governance factors while supporting the growth of new economic drivers.

The 2026 Summer Summit of the China Sustainable Investment Forum (ChinaSIF) will be held under the theme "New Quality Productive Forces and Sustainable Finance." It will focus on emerging industries and digital intelligence, bringing together representatives from industry associations, financial institutions, and enterprises to share cutting-edge practices and research findings. The summit will explore the evolutionary path of sustainable finance under this new development phase, aiming to promote the formation of a sustainable financial system more aligned with the characteristics of new quality productive forces.

The summit is scheduled to take place in Beijing on July 10, 2026. It is organized by SynTao Green Finance, co-hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), with Harvest Fund Management and COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited serving as strategic partners. The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) is a partner, and the Sustainability Committee of the China Association for Public Companies is a supporting unit. Acknowledgments go to SynTao Consulting, Yuzecixin, and the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility for their collaborative support.

The summit will be chaired by Guo Peiyuan, Chairman of ChinaSIF, Chairman of SynTao Green Finance, and China Representative for UNEP FI. Opening remarks will be delivered by Wang Zhongmin, former Vice Chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund and Honorary Chairman of ChinaSIF, and Dr. Johanna Dichtl, Head of Implementation Supervision at UNEP FI.

In the first keynote session, Liu Yanfeng, Director of the Corporate Governance Department at the China Association for Public Companies, will present an analysis on the current state of climate-related disclosures by listed companies. Zhao Hui, General Manager of the Public Relations Department at COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited, will deliver a speech titled "Green Navigation, Digital Intelligence Empowerment: Co-building Resilient and Sustainable Ports."

The first roundtable discussion, themed "Sustainable Finance Driving Industrial Transformation," will be moderated by Yu Hua, a Director of ChinaSIF. Panelists include Han Xiaoyan, Head of ESG Investment Research at Harvest Fund Management; Wei Yixi, Chief ESG Researcher at E Fund Management; and Dong Shanning, Deputy General Manager of the Green Finance Department and Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Finance Department at Jiangsu Bank.

During the report release segment, Qian Qiang, Secretary-General of ChinaSIF and Deputy General Manager of SynTao Green Finance, will unveil the "Steady Progress: 2026 Report on China's Corporate ESG Leaders." Zhu Kaijun, ESG Head and Senior Director of Investor Relations & Securities at GCL Energy Technology Co., Ltd., will release the "GCL Energy Technology White Paper on Climate Change Response."

The second keynote session will feature Xu Hao, Vice President of Sustainable Social Value at Tencent, speaking on the topic of "Digital Technology Empowering Green Transformation and Upgrading." Wu Xuejun, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Newcircle Urban Development Co., Ltd., will share insights on "Digital Platforms Driving the Upgrade of Sustainable Finance."

The second roundtable discussion, focusing on "Corporate Transformation and Innovation in the AI Era," will be moderated by Xu Xiuling, a Director of ChinaSIF. Participants for this in-depth discussion include Wang Xuan, General Manager of the Sustainability Business Unit under the Solution & Service Business Group at Lenovo China and Secretary-General of the Lenovo China Platform ESG Committee; Wang Kai, Chief Asset Allocation Analyst at Everbright Securities Research Institute; and Du Yumei, Senior ESG Manager at CMOC Group Limited.
